Auto 3.5 into a manual maxima????

Auto 3.5 into a manual maxima????
When I look at salvage yards with low mile 3.5 motors they state that the motor out of a maxima with an automatic will not work in a maxima with a manual transmission? I have a 2005 maxima with a 6spd manual and would like to put a low mileage motor in it. Thanks for any help.
