Maxima SL 2005 problem

Hello Maxima drivers. I am gonna try to be as thorough as possible. I have a 2005 Nissan Maxima SL 3.5 automatic tranny without navigation.

My problem is as follows:
1- First i would notice while driving 50-60 that the spedometer will go down to almost 0 then come right back up. when that happens the E-brakes TSC and slip lights will come on then off. That problem went away like 5 days later.
2- TSC off + slip + ABS lights are on after moving 2 feet ( Started happening in snowy days). Also along this problem there was a noise coming from around the engine even when it is turned off. Didnt use the car for the weekend and came back to a dead battery.
3- Weeks later (today) my speedometer dies completely. Always at 0 even when driving +70. "TSC off" + ABS + Brakes + Slip lights are still on. today "check engine soon" light came on.

My mechanic says that it is the ABS module that is toasted. It would cost around 1500 for a new module or 300 for a used one with no warranty. I read online on this forum that it could be a fuse or sensor. I would really appreciate your advice before trying to mess around with my precious.

get a test light and check all of your fuses for starters
