07 Maxima Hyper Flash Signal

so this just started to happen, when i put my right turn signal, my signal starts to flash insanely. my blinkers are white, then turn amber at night.

can anyone help me with this situation... i read up that ill most likely need to resisters.

Yeah, if there are LED's on any corner, you need a resister for each of them.

how much the resister goes for? will i need a resister for the left and right headlight signals? or will one be good?

It is always a good idea to get the resisters with the LED bulbs. For my car (not a Nissan) I bought from a place that has their ideal tested resistors, that way you're sure the vendor has already tested them together so you're not troubleshooting issues in uncharted waters. They don't cost much, $3-$7 each. You will need one for every single LED turn signal in most situations. The idea is that the LED doesn't put up as much resistance as an incandescent bulb, therefore the sensors/computer detect a false positive for a dead bulb, signaled by the hyper flash. There really is no safe way to hook up one resistor to both turn signals that I can think of.

That said, I still don't understand why they can't just build a resistor into the bulb housing...unless it's a heat/life issue for the bulb...still, sometimes installing a resistor takes 5 times longer then what it takes to replace the bulb...depending on how accessible the wiring is. Not to mention you do something wrong, you're going to screw up some wiring...

will the rear light bulbs work on my front turn signals? i think i should just purchase brand new signals with new resistors and have the wiring redone.

Stock the front is amber, the backs are clear bulbs inside the red lensed housing. So it depends WHat you have of course, but likely the answer is no, rears won't work up front.

would you recommend taking the bumper down to put the resistors and to also switch the signal bulbs?

i was quoted a price $120 to change the front signal bulbs to led switching from white to amber, and to also change the resistors.

i am really hoping that they don't have to remove my front bumper to change them.

i installed switchback led for both front turn signals and also installed resistors for each front turn signal. yes, i had to remove the front bumper in order to remove the headlight housings. I bought the led switchbacks and resistors from retrofitsource
