2006 maxima catalytic coverter problem

My wife car needs cats, is it true that you can only use cats from the dealer or can you get after market cats for this car?

MAgnaflow sell good replacement cats for our maximas.

I dont know about other states, but in California it has to be CARB compliant. check your state's rules and some brands with good rep(like Magnaflow).
