Should I buy a Gen 6?

My Gen 5 died...well almost. I found a one owner 2005 with 90K...almost perfect ...what concerns me is the reports of transmission problems. Any thoughts?

Second year Maxima that comes with the dreaded CVT transmission. I'd pass on it and find yourself another nice 5th gen.

2005 isn't CVT, but that year also had problems with the transmission. I think that '06 was the first year that they upgraded the valve body, and the CVT didn't come into play until '07 or '08. My advice is the same as the others, stay away from 6th Gen altogether! I'd go for an '02-'03 5th Gen or an '02-'04 I35 if you can find it!

Only some, and they were 2004 only. Yes, no famous valve body issues on them.
