RPMs up, oil light now on

Hi, new to the forum, looking for some help troubleshooting a 2007 Maxima i recently purchased from my parents.

My wife was driving home from work yesterday and turned the headlights on, she said when she did so, the rpms shot up and there was a loss of power. she turned them back off and from my understanding the rpms went back down and she was able to drive a couple of miles to our house. At some point the oil lamp came on, but not the check engine light.

I went to move it down to flat ground this morning so i could check the oil, and when i tried to start it, it acted like it didn't have enough juice, then the entire dashboard went black. i turned the key off then back on, and it started fine, but rpms pretty high, 2200

I looked at codes right after that and got P0011 and P0021 as pending codes.

Any thoughts on what could be going on?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Just checked the oil level in the car, and it seems to be fine. Didn't seem terribly black, but would that cause the light to stay on?
THanks

It sounds like you have an electrical fault. Did the brake light come on also? I would check battery voltage when the car is off and on, off it should read around 12.5 volts, with the car running it should read around 13.5 volts. It these are not what you read check power and ground connections. Could be a bad ground, loose connection, and etc. You have to get a voltmeter if you don't already have one. Also please run synthetic oil in the car. Hopefully this isn't the case but reading your codes it sounds like your oil gallery gaskets are bad. Change the oil now!!

Thanks so much for the reply.
Yesterday i put a meter on the battery while the car was off and it read 12.5 v. With the car running, it read 14.5v.
I also gave it an oil change with synthetic 10w40 oil.
Oh and also cleared the codes with an app that i have, and let the car run 30sec.
Unfortunately the oil light is still on, however the P0011 and P0022 didn't come back in that time?
What would be the best next step?
Thanks!
