2005 Halogen upgrade to LED question
2005 Halogen upgrade to LED question
I have a 3.5 SE 6sp manual. One 9012 bulb runs the high and low beam, per side. Do not have running lights or fog lights. I have seen separate LED kits for both high and low beams online. I am not sure what to do to upgrade my headlights. Do I need to add an extra bulb per side? Any help appreciated. Thank you.
If I am right, our halogen lights don't have high beams in the sense of a brighter setting. Instead, our projectors have a metal "flap" that opens up to allow light above the cuttoff line, when we trigger the "high beams". So, you wouldn't need an extra high beam bulb. Low beam would be fine. I have an hid kit with 9006 size bulbs in my halogen projector.
I had LEDs in my 2008 but as Follyburr said on these maximas the same bulbs runs both so it doesn’t get brighter. Like you I wanted brighter but unfortunately and for now,the LED output isn’t as much as an HID system. Only upgrade would be switching to an HID system. A good one tho,not some eBay crap
