The 200,000 Mile Club Thread...

I know we have a 100,000 mile club thread that is a sticky on here. I never knew i would keep my Maxima past 200,000 miles. But now that I am at over 250,000 miles, I want to try to keep it until I can get 300,000 miles on it. In fact, I plan to keep my maxima forever. Basically till it dies beyond repairs.

I am sure there are way too many 6th gens here with over 200,000 miles and even over 300,000 miles. Let us see some odometer pictures!!!

Can we see some odometers of the 6th gens with over 200,000 miles and closer to 300,000 miles or more? Or someone feel free to start a thread with 300,000 miles.

My Maxima is as of today 251,200 miles on odometer, but here is the pic of when my Maxima turned 250,000 miles on odometer.

If your 6th gen has over 200,000 miles, feel free to share pics of odometer and a build or maintenance thread or provide any basic details of your major problems or maintenance over the years.

This is a link to my build and maintenance thread and a pic of my odometer.

It's my Garmin GPS. I have had it for a long time now but I get lifetime map updates and traffic, so it is still very usable. This is a pic of how it looks and my Valentine 1 is always in use on my road trips.

That is nice. Show pic of Odometer. What year is your 6thgen? How many of those miles did you out on the car? I have out all 251,600 of mine since I bought mine brand new in 2008.

Oh, those people are telling you a lie. There is nothing wrong with mixing oil at all. Not that people advice people to go around mixing oil at every oil change.

But when you have a lot of oil at home and happen to have leftovers from 2 bottles, it is more than ok to mix them up. Nothing happens at all. Just change your oil regularly and you are good to go.

Besides, I am using a larger filter. I am not using the stock Nissan Maxima OEM filter size. I am using the filter for my 2012 Infiniti QX56 on my 2008 Nissan Maxima. Fits perfectly and makes me put a few more ounces of oil.

I see. So you do not put a lot of miles on your 04. Nice.

I am in South Houston.

Cool. How much did you pay for the new engine? How much to get it installed?

Right now my 2 catalytic converters are toast. I am looking for the best alternative of what will be a replacement for them.

We used to have Maxima meets a while back but I guess not these days since the 6thgen is quite old now. I wonder if the 8thgen and 7thgen do organize meetings.

That is pretty good that you can do that all by yourself.

Are you a mechanic on the side? I may have some things you could help me install and I pay cheaper than at the dealership. I already have a guy that works on his Maxima that dies most of my work for me for a lot less than a shop.

I need to change my head gasket, belts, brake pads, maybe spark plugs and ignition coils. I have bought all these parts already.

I need new cats now. So, I meed to buy those too but tje magnaflows I just looked at look very expensive for the set.

So, I have to look for any alternatives. The ones I have on Monday are from racingline. Maybe I should contact then that what I bought from them is toast now. I wonder what their warranty was for them. I need to check with them.

I bought it when it was 130k. Now around 141k. Never refuse to run. No matter what the condition is. Always crank to life with a single twist on the ***. Still goes above 100 mph like walk in the park. But since the day I got the car Im facing one major issue, the milegaue is wonderfully bad. I get anywhere between 8 to 8.5 mpg while driving in new york city.
