06 Maxima fail safe mode please help

Car drives fine then all of a sudden it feels like it gets weak then won’t go past 10-15mph or 1500rpm

Start looking for a competent transmission shop.

Transmission is good....no check engine light but I took it to a shop yesterday that used the big scanner and got a p0720 code which they said is due to a faulty cam or crank sensor so I’m just gonna change all of them

The quality of the advice you got from me was the same as the quality of your 2nd post. And you do not need a "big scanner" for P0720 from a VQ engine. Any cheap ELM scanner from ebay would show it, so you did not do your homework before posting here and sent me on a wild goose chase.

Obviously using the regular scanner was the first thing I did but it wouldn’t bring up any codes once they put the better scanner on it got codes even tho there no check engine light on is what I’m saying

The code is p0720 or p0726 hard to see from the writing on the paper but I believe it’s p0726
