Car is real sluggish seems to be in higher gear. Also the manual mode will not shift out of 1st. Bought the car and it has been sitting for a year with no battery. Ran and drove before parked.

 

Try putting some fuel injector cleaner in like Gumout or Redline Fuel Treatment. That'll help flush out any old gas from the fuel system since the car has been sitting so long. Also the Manuel mode is useless in a CVT since they have no gears.

 

ditch the cvt. jdm 4 speed autos cost next to nothing and they pull like a mf coz of the short gearing. pulls harder than the 5 speeds. not so great for highway gas mileage, but 100% more reliable, more fun and faster than the cvt. plus no programming required if you get the wiring with it.
