Gasoline question
Since it has probably always been run on regular fuel, you might as well just keep doing that. Also, since you have 170k on it, I doubt you would seen any real measurable benefit form running premium fuel in it. That slight advance in timing will all but pretty much be adsorbed by the looseness in a car with that many miles on it.
So, yeah, save yourself some money and put regular gas in it.

So far, I've not noticed any drop off of power or MPG (27-28). I do on occasion mix the two octanes.
