Fair price or scam ?

I went to a transmission shop and asked them how much would a used transmission cost. They told 1800$ for both the replacement and the transmission. It's a used transmission with a 90 day warranty, it got 98000km / 60k miles. I'm in Canada and it's seems too cheap for a transmission + the replacement. But for 60k miles is that a fair price ?

Prices vary wildly on car-part.com, nothing in my area is low mileage used. Cheapest running trans is $500 or so with 150,000 miles. Remanufactured and new are ridiculously priced at $4-5,000.
