The key to my maxima wont turn in the ignition. I’m told it could possibly be the ignition switch or the tumbler needs replacing. Nobody seems to know much about the older nissans and the dealership wants your salary just for a simple fix. Help needed

 

Did you try wiggling the steering wheel? The steering wheel lock might be engaged and wiggling the steering wheel with one hand while jiggling the key with the other trying to turn it usually gets it in that case, just dont force the key because if it breaks in half youre worse off lol

I’ve done that An then some. I’m being told it may be the ignition switch. .. I’ve read it possibly be the bcm
