4DSC Sticker

best answer.
I spent some time at the dealer asking about the sticker. There is definitely no part # to this item. If your cool with the parts people at your local dealer, they can help you, but they would have to spend lots of time on it. They would have to contact the marketing people at nissan head quarters, and have to contact 2-3 different reps to help them. And its free. In 24hrs, i was told they sending it and about 48-72hrs i picked up 5 stickers.

When my Maxima came in in Sept. of '08, It was perfect and had every small thing I wanted! No front plate-Check, Black Ext. & Charcoal Int.-Check, Sport & Tech Package-Check, 4DSC Sticker-Check! Mine came with it only on one side, the other side has the Eibach Springs decal. I also saw an old 2nd Gen. with a 4DSC sticker while on the road one day!

The fact the 4DSC sticker on the '09 is a tiny cheapo thingie put ONLY on the drivers side, and mounted loosely on the OUTSIDE of the left rear window tells me Nissan did not intend for this sticker to stay on the car very long. And it won't. I look at this sticker as nothing more than a little sales gimmick.
Unlike the other badges different manufactures use to denote their sports models, it's not even a physical letter or set of them - just a cheap sticker. I thought they were just using it as a marketing object because ALL Maximas are designated 4DSCs by Nissan so there's no real reason to permanently denote it.

+1; I have one on mine, but couldn't really imagine caring had I not.

How hard is that, really?

Sorry I guess i was, but the funny thing is, i don't even know if i have the sticker or not and i had the car for about 2 weeks. I haven't paid any attention to or looked for it.

4DSC was a Nissan marketing campaign back in the early 90's, revived with the 7th gen. While I personally think the Maxima has become too large since that time to support any stretch of the phrase "sports car", your 2010 is probably the best handling ride of the bunch.
It's cool, Leeno. Welcome to the Org.

When i think about it... my old man used to have a '91 maxima and i actually got my license driving that car. The steering wheel was super loose but it ran like a champ lol and i clearly remember it having 4DSC on the back window on the driver side like you said, the sticker wasn't big but it was big enough to notice.

this is true. I tried making a die-cut copy, but they were too much of a pain so I stopped. The originals were printed on a clear sheet of vinyl.

And correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the original 3rd gen stickers were on the outside of the window. Seems an odd design decision.

Back in the Fall, I went looking for this 7th gen decal, and started working with erty67 for a new 4DSC design. What we ended up with was a design that was very, very close to the pre-production 4DSC sticker that Nissan was using before the 2009 model was released.
Details are here, if you're interested in getting one.

You installed these??? Thought you worked in the cockpit module area. Last time I checked this was a long way away from where stickers get installed on windows.

I did work on the cockpit module, but a lot of the guys that had been there for a long time were cool and would try to help us noobs out

Can't believe so many people focus on that sticker. I didn't even realize it was on there till about a week after I got my Max!
If it bothers people so much and since the consensus on maxima.org is that the 7th Gen isn't a true 4DSC, like a G37 or 3-Series, just peel it off and burn the damn thing and be done with it. No one will know the difference! The car will still look sporty as hell and get plenty of looks!
