Did your wheels come with hub rings? I had some 22" on my Trailblazer and when I got them they vibrated. I contacted the seller and he had me a custom set of hub rings made. It fixed the vibration.

New kid on the block

Hi guys,

I'm new to the Nissan family. I love the pics of all the rims on here. Thinking of getting a set of Stance wheels in a couple of weeks. I just installed a set Grill4U grills this week.

Hey everyone, I'm also new to this forum, but I've had my Max for about 3 years now. I painted my rims black to match my car last year. Rattle canned them...only cost me about $60 bucks, and I usually get a least one complement a day! Lol...

One more question. What size tires for a staggered set of 22"? 22x8.5& 22x10 +35 offset.
I know the front will be 245/30/22 but what about the back? Without rubbing and without modding anything. Stock suspension also. Thanks in advance guys.

Look up Vossen on flickr or just call em up. They did a Maxima with 22x9 in front and 22x10.5 in rear. Back tires were 265/30. Not sure of the offset but it was mid to high 40s in the back.

How can I tell if a wheel will clear my calipers before buying? The wheels I am looking at are 22x8.5 +35 offset hub bore 73.1. I asked the guy and he says since I'm buying 22" for a car thats max is suggested to be 20" he can not guarantee that they will fit.

No idea. That's why it's best to use wheels that you seen on the car or buy them in person.

So i found the wheels I'm getting. I'm painting all the black Winter Frost to match. Also all the inserts come off and leave just a chrome wheel pic below.

You should try the white plastidip first before you paint...

Already ordered them and they are painting them before they ship them. And I don't think the plastidip would match exactly.

It's personal opinion. If you think they don't stick out far enough, you could just get 5mm spacers which would turn them into +37 offset.

So how did yours look? Were they flush with the fender or did they stick out? And did they rub with your +35 if so where. I think I already asked u this.

rubbed very slightly in the front when hutting a dip too fast. i could have just got my fenders rolled but it wasn't bad enough.

Thanks bro. It looks like I'll go with +35. One more thing did they rub at all in the back with people in the back? Thanks again.

Thinking about buying these wheels, niche m101 20 x 8.5 +40 offset with a 245/35/20 tire. They are relatively inexpensive for 20's and the cost with tires shipped works out to $1360 (which is basically the cost of a new set of all season tires where I live). Any thoughts?

Here is a link to them, I'm brain dead and can't attach a pic. http://www.mhtwheels.com/wheel.cfm?cat=755

I've seen a few Maximas with 245/35/20. And IMO, 255/35 fills up the wheel wells better. As far as offset. Mount em up and see how you like it. If they don't stick out far enough, I'd suggest 10mm spacers.

I have 245/35-20's on mine now and I think it looks terrible. I just ordered 22x8.5 +42 offset XO Miami wheels. Should be here any day and I will post pics.

I know im probably beating a dead horse but I think i found the solution to what I want to achieve..

I found the wheels that I want in 2 sizes. Either size I go will be Squared up.

A)19x9.5 with tires 255/40/19 share with OEM 19s for winter

or

B)20x10 on 255/40/20

Option A lets me use one set of tires year round with both the new set of wheels and the OEM 19s. There for I can rock some DWS all year and not have to buy 2 sets of tires. 19x9.5 comes with an offset of 38 and they would give me a uniform look all around. Only thing extra is a drop on some Ebiachs

Option B gives me a little more Concave but im limited on the tire since I will be DD 40 miles minimum every day. The other down side is that I still have to buy another set of tires for the OEMs. The up side Is I can get a good summer tire for the 20s and a deticated winter tires for the OEMs. Again this cost more $$$. The other upside is I can take my time and save up some money for the winter set.

I would just go with the 20s. By the time you figure in the hassle and cost of having them mounted and balanced twice a year, and not to mention the off chance that the shop may damage either set of your wheels taking the tires off and on twice a year just doubles your chances of them f'n up your wheels. But that's just me.

Not to worried about the hassle in taking them on and off, I work at the dealer ship and it only runs me $75 with balance and alignment.
