I took the front wheels off and replaced them with 370z rear so I big boys all the way around on Hankook 245/35/19. It is so fun to drive now. I also went with this size tire cause it really made a difference. I finally feel like the car drives like a champ.
Got my 2010 Maxima lowered on BC BR type coils as low as they can go (with fenders rolled) and its a perfect daily height for me. Wheels are Varrstoen L153's both 20x10.5 with 255/35r20's all around. Only difference is the front offset is +40 and rear offset is +25. Fronts come EXTREMELY close to the suspension strut but dont touch and havent had any problems as far as that goes lol. Also rockin Starry Night RGB chasing halos and a Motordyne exhaust and ART Y pipe that sound great when paired together.
Anyone ever seen a 7th Gen, or heck any Gen Maxima with these old school D-window type wheels? I absolutely love them, but only ever see them on trucks and SUVs.
8.5 wide is pretty narrow. I almost went 10 before settling with 9. Regardless how flush it sits it will look too narrow when looking at it from the rear.
Having gone 9 with a 35mm, I would not hesitate to do a 10 with a 40mm if I did it again. The Maxima has big hips and a narrow wheel will look off.
would a 20x8.5 or 9 work with s 30mm offset on a 2013?
Wats good boys. I'm new to maxima forum. Just got a 2014 with 25k Miles. She is stock all around. Il be lowering her soon with eibachi springs, and wanted to upgrade wheels from stock 18s to 19s , I think20s is a bit too much and the meat if tire is so much less. Plus if I lower her I want a nice stance. Any thoughts ? Thanks

having had the 19”s before getting 20’s
the 19’s are going to be a better ride for sure
Mine isnt a daily so i went for 20’s
Thanks appreciate it. Yea mine is a daily driver. Plus them thinner tires are crazy expensive.
they can be, im on some cheaper Lexani LX 245/35/20’s atm
because they came with my Vossen rims (previous owner had some fitment issues tires had less than 50 miles on them at the time when i get them off him
upgrading mid year and im not looking forward to it
hahaha
Lol that good u got ur hands on good tires. My issues is if I get 20s and I drop her 1.3 front and 1.5 in the back , I dont want it to rub plus one bad bump and bye bye rim. I deff want staggered cause it looks bad *** with 7th gen max , it has that fat ***.

im dropped on RSRdown springs so im close to rubbing in the rear but its not a daily and i roll solo and only cruise
Appreciate the input. Yea I got peeps riding in the back from time to time so I'm not going higher than 19s after I drop her . Havnt found anything good out there in that size with tire package.

Maybe a stupid question, but I like the charcoal much better.

ive seen that a lot ,mine came with them and then I sold them,
not sure if if it’s a trim level thing or what
I’ve only seen them on the white 2014’s and the midnight garnet like I have
So I had Nissan install the Eibach lowering kit and i'm using 20X9.5 and I don't have any rubbing what so ever. And this upgrade is the best thing I've done. The handling is unreal. No lift , no sway. Yes you feel the road more(not that much more) but who doesn't want that. You do have to be careful with curbs and raised parking lot entries and exits. here is a current pick. there is about 1" clearance now.

I'm thinking of getting 20's 20x9 with offset +38 wrapped with 245-40-20 b/c the streets here in Dallas Tx are terrible. I wonder if that'll cause my ride to rub. (Currently stock setup)
@2theMAX2014... Which tire series are your rims wrapped in and any rubbing with additional riders? And with your current setup, is re-alignment necessary?
I'd like to know this as well... I have some 20's wrapped in 255/30/20 tires but some shops are resisting to mount them due to the "integrity" of the then side wall, well that's what Discount Tire has informed me. Plus the streets here in Dallas are full of potholes so I'm not taking chances. I'm looking to purchase a set of 245/40/20 tires to wrap my rim in. I know ppl usually use 255 or 245 /35/20 but I'd like that add a little more meat for ride comfort. Any suggestions are welcomed...
so I have goodyear eagle sport 255/35/20 tires. A realignment was done by Nissan. the camber adjustments were purchased but not needed. I have 4 people in the car and no rubbing. the wheels have are 5X114.3 with a 35 mm offset.

Painted Stock Wheels.
Wife's car. NY roads suck (and my wife has a habit of hitting potholes) so I figured I'd just paint them and save the money for tires
Got some 18" rims to replace the bent OE 18" rims on the car. 18" or 19" was a tough decision, the roads I drive on are pretty bad (i684, saw mill pkwy, etc) are rough and I was worried about bending the new rims, I tend to have a lot of people in the car who sometimes comments about the ride being a little rough, and 18" tires are a lot less expensive...so I thought the practical choice was 18". Now I kind of regret it (buyer’s remorse stinks). If I ever got around to getting an akenbono caliper upgrade I don't think it will fit. But all in all happy with the rims. Probably would have looked better with a smaller offset. These are 45, maybe a 40 or high 30s? Thinking about getting some try spacers when I get some more funds.
well I will say this much and let you decide on what u going to do, when u add custom wheels the ride will change because its not stock, as for the ride yeah that's going to change too because of the low profile tires, and if you lower it, well that will change it too. So are you customizing the car for you or for the people who ride in your car? Im in my car 95% of the time by myself so it made it easy for me to change it, My old lady when she rides doesn't gripe since I had 3 mustangs and low profile and drop them too so once again its truly up to you. I will show u a new picture of my car drop let you decide
