Hey Silversurfer,
I don't really like the video clip I took with our small digital camera. I don't think that it really recorded the true sound of STILLEN system on the MAX. But I uploaded it anyway on youtube. This was right after I installed it on a very cold morning, hope you guys like it and I will be posting a new clip from better camera that should capture a better sound!!!! Hopefully this will hold you over until I post a better sound clip of my system. Here is the link:

No prob Silversurfer,
It has been so cold up here lately that I not had a good day to get a better video. Then to be honest I forgot about it and we actually had some good weather this weekend. It is supposed to be crappy Monday but on Tuesday it should be nice sunny and in the 70's so I will get a better video then!

is it just the angle you took the video at or does the right side sit higher than the left.

I am also wondering how the sound has changed after these mufflers have "burnt in" if at all.

What size diameter is the piping. 2.5in I assume? I am curious why Stillen doesn't consider a 3in version when they show HP gains on a 5.5 gen over a 2.5in exhaust. I suppose they are interested in better sound, or just cost measures.

Custom or name brand??

What is the difference if i just get a custom fullcatback exhaust for $350 or getting stillen for $850..performance and sound wise?

from the sounds of it the rear section exhaust sounded better than the full cat back. Or that full cat back video was just poor quality...

this was a horrible point and shoot video in front of the building with 25mph winds.. not indicative of a true sound. But both the rear section and cat-back have a similar note due to the muffler design used, the cat-back is going to free up some additional hp. Purely a personal choice..

I would still get the cat-back for the same reason to free up those extra ponies. But Josh 25mph winds, how come those trees infront ain't moving. LoL

LOL.. I don't know! That is kinda weird! You can hear the wind noise on the camera.. maybe for 8 seconds the trees knew they were being filmed.. just to mess with me..

Hey Josh, good to see you make it back here. I know you be Mad Busy and it takes a lil time before you can drop in.

Just wondering, do you have any cams for the 09 Max? Ever find out why is it that simply adding a CAI/WAI to the Z you can get 55 HP but not such a substantial gain for an 09 Max???

Unfortunately I do not have as much time as I'd like, that's for sure. But I haven't missed a PM, so please feel free to hit me up anytime.

We have not gone down the road with the Maxima to swapping engine internals. Just like forced induction, there really hasn't been the aftermarket demand to jump on some of the projects that can be extremely expensive to R&D.

Remember though the 370Z is a different motor.. dual throttle body.. rear wheel drive.. not transverse mounted like the Max, etc. Not really apples to apples..

Pics are all over bro. Just search "Stillen 2009 Maxima" and you'll run into them.

The system is very tame having a stock-like sound with good performance gains.

The engraved tips look very nice, but I'm personally waiting for Corsa to step into the game.

Check out the videos and take a listen man...

It sounds faintly more aggressive than stock, if at all so I'd say it's for those wanting to keep things luxurious with performance instead of loud and aggressive.
