Man Stillen does not play around.......they are just pumping out the Mods for the new 09!!! I love it, I am sure after I get my remote start alarm system installed I will porbably start looking at a few more upgrades...After all I did tell myself that I would only upgrade the audio system...did that added a single 12 W7 in ported box with a 500/1 amp, and I would only add a set of rims, did that 20x9 Vossen Rims and the alarm.......maybe Santa will bring me more goodies....maybe exhaust :-)

Links are awesome!

This is exactly how they have it on their site, but I'm pretty certain they have the pictures reversed.

Yes, the titles, product numbers and prices are with the wrong photos. Reversed.

I don't remember Stillen moving quite this fast on previous Maximas. The 7th gen Maxima is going to be one happily modded Maxima generation.

I wish they'd post performance numbers though... the page "mentions" that the full exhaust gives an additional 5hp over the rear section only, but it never states the increase for the either piece over stock... =( I'd be a little concerned as to what the CVT can handle... I know the old CVT couldn't handle over 265 HP or something when it came out.. I'm sure they've beefed it up a bit, but... I'd still be curious to know.

Ohhhhh Man I want to get a system on order, but I think I am going to wait it out until more folks have it on and we start getting more numbers and feedback....or until stillen posts some hard facts and maybe some sound clips either way I am defintely in with all the new mods!!!

Hey CHIO what setup did you order??? Post some pics and let us know what the deal is!

well i just got the rear axel back for now. I have clients in my car so i dont want it to loud and most important dont want the wife to notice!!!! if you know what i mean.

I listen to alot of videos of Stillen exhaust online (i know that is not the best way) but they all sounded pretty good and not over the top.

nice but somehow I doubt an exhaust upgrade on the 6.5 or 7th Gen is gonna toast the trans once the real performance mods go on Im sure it will be obvious what needs to be done.

golf clap to stillen, nice but not overly impressed, but happy for 7th gen owners

Stillen doesn't offer a discount to anyone... =( (meaning clubs, they obviously have sales).

Hi guys, thanks for the post and the interest. Yes the photos were initially reversed, they have been corrected..

You will find that it is impossible to get steady numbers from a dyno with the CVT transmission. This is the same for the Maxima as it is with the Altima. We are confident there are power gains with this system, but it's impossible to get a back to back dyno sheet that would allow you to use those numbers, as too many variables with the transmission can affect the dyno numbers.

Anyone using a dyno on a CVT to give any HP claims should be considered suspect.

As far as discounts go, these systems are in fact discounted. Because the other exhaust systems were on sale, we launched this at the discounted prices you see above. Regular price for these kits is $850 for the catback and $533 for the rear section. After the current sale expires, these kits will return to that price.

Also keep in mind these are not cheap to ship, but we eat that cost for you as well and ship them free.

And I wouldn't worry about any bolt-ons and the power gains to affect the CVT. Forced induction perhaps, but no way you'll have problems with just N/A bolt-ons.

We also have a cold-air intake that will be released shortly.

Good to know... any rough ideas on what the exhaust "should" provide as far as gains? 5hp? 10hp? What about the CAI? 5hp? Just curious... I'm rather tempted... lol

I'm guessing those are based on past Maxima increases...

Well Kudos to Stillen for doing it again, the set up is awesome and the fit and finish is to be expected of them. I have to Ok it with the General in order to get permission to launch this onto my Starship but the outlook for Vday might be a go.

We need a Military Smilie(s) of some sort.

stealin stillen is at it again!

$850 for a catback...holy sheat.

And no stealin Stillen doesn't give discounts to ANYONE(unless things have changed). FWIW any shop can fab you up a custom catback(similiar to stillen's) for under $400 out the door with your choice of tips. But i can respect someone wanting to buy a prefabbed one and it's nice of stillen put on out for the 7th gen so quickly...

Josh the real question i think we all have is when is the stage 4 roots style SC comming out(and how will you measure the increase in HP? engine dyno?) out of curiosity if dynos are inaccurate how can you factor what the drivetrain loss of the cvt tranny is? just curious. any more info on why they are innacurrate i can think of a few reasons but a detailed answer would be appriciated.

Yes, you can have an exhaust fabbed up at a shop, with compression bends vs. mandrel bending, use aluminized pipe versus stainless, and play around with different muffler setups and piping to determine the sound that meshes with the engine note, and spend hours of a shops time, or you can purchase ours with the work done for you. Fabbing something yourself is always an option to save $$, but in a lot of cases the product isn't the same in the end.

If $$ is a concern, you can always go with the rear section setup to focus more on the sound of the exhaust note vs. maximum horsepower gain.

At the current time we do not have plans for forced induction for the Maxima. We are in the R&D stages on the 3.7L motors for the G37/370Z, but there are too many differences within the Maxima and existing 3.5L superchargers for the G's and Z's.

Why the CVT's are difficult on the dyno is simply because of the variance that's possible in the transmission itself. It's a constantly variable gear ratio, and is computer controlled to boot. There is never a consistent point when you can state a 1:1 ratio (or any static ratio) exists.. And numerous tests back to back on the same setup yield different results consistently.

I am just waiting for someone to put it on and post a bunch of pics!!! I would also like for some sound clips......I know they don't give you the real feel of what it would really sound like in the car but it should give us an idea!

well mine is on i dont have a digital camera handy.

over all took about 15 to put on. the fit is great!!!

Now to the sound i just did the rear section and it sounds just the way i like it. little deep rumble at idle and when you get on the gas it just sounds great not over loud and it is so nice to hear and feel the exhaust. but over all the sound is perfect.

i wish i had a video camera!!!

Hey CHIO,
I see that your location says ST. Louis MO......oh man I live in Warrensburg MO about 3 hours from your city, I would love to hear that thing in person!!!!! I would even make the trip out to your neck of the woods just to hear it before I made the purchase and commited to the exhaust route!!!!

The intake and exhaust are defintely next on my list of mods and I most certainly would like to hear the MAX sounds with some new lungs on her. Maybe we can schedule a meet, if not than a few pics and a sound bite would be awesome. Let me know and we can make this happen.......and I know what you mean the Snow is coming down here in my neck of the woods...not so much but enough to make you go ahhhhhhhhhhh!
