Josh@STILLEN: How hard was it to paint the door handles the same color as the car? The only problem I could imagine would be the button on the two front door handles? I really liked the painting of the trim aswell. I might consider doing that to my '09, so it won't be just another Maxima! Hats off to STILLEN for the job you guys did on the Maxima! The car is perfect! Im going to ask my friends at Sonic Motorsports if they saw you guys at SEMA, they were there they took a Black Lamborghini Gallardo with Klassen Wheels and a full body Kit.

Thanks for the compliments.. the logos should be coming off in a little bit.. I think that will lessen the 'edge' with it, and clean it up a bit.

We had the car painted, and they made no mention of any difficulties with the handles, including the button. We were already doing the lip and side skirts, so they had the OEM silver going. We also knocked out the stainless window surrounds and side mirrors.. and along with some dark tint finished off the "greenhouse" as the painter called it.

Definitely added some huge impact on the overall look.

I don't recall seeing the Lambo at the show, but in all honesty, that show is some serious overkill.. a couple hours and you're so desensitized to some amazing vehicles..

Josh,
I have asked this in another post as well, but since u have driven the car and where there as it was modified. How does the exhaust sound compared to this G35 with the STILLEN Exhaust?

Did you guys lower the car? Also in the future you guys will have a turbo or supercharger developed for the 09 Maxima? Sorry for all the questions, man! I just really like what STILLEN has done for the new Maxima!

Sorry if I missed a previous question.. there is a similar sound, but it's probably less aggressive sounding than the G exhausts we've done. That's also a difficult thing to describe based upon a non-loaded youtube clip (we have trouble with audio clips in general, the variances in sound can be due to a number of variables, including your speakers.. lol)

The design was developed to capture the essence of how we see the vehicle... it's a classy ride, plenty powerful, but not the latest craze in the young tuner. It's something that has four doors, can run the family around when needed, but still has the power when you want to jump on it.

The exhaust has no drone, you're not going to get stuck at 75 on the freeway and have to be reminded by vibrating panels that you gained some horsepower with an exhaust. But when you get on it you'll definitely know it's there.

Most of my driving has been in conjunction with our intake kit, which actually adds most of the aggressive tone on full throttle.. but remains very mellow on cruising. We also developed a urethane piece to hook to the factory air diffuser on the car, to ensure air being delivered to the intake is as cold as possible.

Eibach is very close to releasing their lowering kit, and ours is lowered with an Altima kit, due to our proximity to SEMA and needing to get the car done. It bolts right up, and delivers a 2" drop front and rear, which handles and rides exceptional turns out. LOL! The car is very low, and caution has been taken in driveways and dips, etc.. but it really isn't a bad deal, I would imagine if Eibach does create a lower Sportline kit, the specs would be close.

To be honest, I really doubt we will get enough actual interest do develop a forced induction kit for the Maxima.. while we'd like to do everything we can, the development and cost involved will make it prohibitive for the numbers of kits that could be sold. The Maxima also rocks the transverse mounted engine and front wheel drive, making any crossover kits from other applications we will develop impossible.

I'm sure some local turbo shops will have something if you're really committed, just like we've seen with the Altima 3.5L's..

I hope this answers some questions.. feel free to hit me up with any info.. I'll do my best to provide what I can.

Merry Christmas all!

This car looks great. I would go with a different wheel, but overall it comes together nicely. I am really liking the rear of this car and the front looks so much better with the lip.
