Thestumper,

You had to bring up the WRX!! I had an 2002 WRX and then a 2005 STi. In the last few weeks, I've been missing the STi. It was so raw, yet controllable- I miss what it was capable of. They are both head turners though. I thoroughly enjoy driving my Maxima, just for a completely different reason.

Yes, the WRX was a neat car. I made the mistake of buying the 2008, which had far to much body roll for my tastes, but they apparently addressed this with the 2009, plus added a bunch of horsepower. Timing is everything, I suppose. Still, nothing a sway bar or two wouldn't have (largely) solved. I never complained about the power so much. I had driven the first WRX a number of years ago and loved it; I still think that was the penultimate WRX - ugly, fast, and simple. It was a completely unique car when it was first released.

I leased mine for two years, and I will miss the absolute command I had of the elements in that car. I used to look forward to snow. Alas, it just didn't fit my lifestyle, and Subaru wanted it back. Actually, Subaru didn't want it back for a few more months, but Nissan REALLY wanted to sell me a Maxima

Aside from the look, comfort and performance, consumer reports sold me!

Aggressive styling, nice blend of sport/luxury, value priced (incuding great Nissan lease incentives). I could go on for quite a bit..
