What is Dial Effects?

I was going thru the settings on the info display in the speedo cluster and came across a setting known as "Dial Effects". Does anybody know what this is? The owners manual makes no mention of it

I have turned it on and off, and I see no difference on the speedo or other gauges.

If I remember right, if you turn it on it does away with the WOT and gives an additional 15hp
