What Option Packages?
Just to get an idea of the demographics here on all of us with the new 2009+ Maxima.
Please vote in the poll.
I made multiple choices available. Please indicate all that applies to your car. IE: Premium package folks; click on Premium and if you have NAV also click on the Tech Package, If you also have the Cold Package (Heated Steering Wheel and mirrors) click on that as well.

As info, the Premium Package does not include the Tech (Navigation) Package. Many Maximas with the Premium Package do not have the Tech Package.
When I bought, I knew I absolutely wanted the Premium Package, but wavered for a month before opting to also get the Tech (Navi) Package.
For those who may not have the numbers at their fingertips, adding the Tech (Navi) Package to the SV adds $2400 to the MSRP ($2082 to the Invoice price), adding the Tech Package to the Sport Package equipped SV adds $2250 to the MSRP ($1952 to the Invoice price), and adding the Tech Package to the Premium Package equipped SV adds $1850 to the MSRP ($1605 to the Invoice price).
Turned out to be a great addition for me, as my wife and I are in unfamiliar areas very frequently. A great help in finding restaurants (by food type!), libraries, courthouses, gas stations, routes to airports, etc, and detours when a road closes down (happens every day all over the Atlanta area). But the 'biggie' for me in the Tech Package has been the Music Box; hundreds of CDs right at my fingertips, and the CDs themselves are now filed safely away in the storage room.

The main nissan email didn't give me any info...contacted the local service department to see if its possible/cost for installing tech package after. I looked at the console, it actually looks pretty simple in terms of swapping out the base console with the Nav console. I did some numbers (install vs buying a new maxima) and I think anything 2k or less installed would be worth it.
If your are using the term 'wing' to mean spoiler, don't even worry about it. Many here on the ORG have added spoilers. Some did the work themselves, some let their dealer do it, and a few used a trusted body shop. Several here have gotten this done for as low as $300, including the price of the spoiler plus installation by the dealer. Just be glad you aren't trying to add something complicated or expensive like Navi.
you should change the poll answers/choices, S and SV are models, and the rest are packages, so basically if it's a package then it's an SV already. And the extra goodies already come in the other package, so if you want better results then you should narrow down your answers/choices.
Looks, baby! Looks!
There will be folks who eagerly say the spoiler improved their top speed, elapsed time, slalom speed, handling, gas mileage, and cured their acne.
But, at legal highway speeds, I don't see this spoiler having any measurable effect. The physics just aren't there. The spoiler is flat, and lies pretty much inline with the airflow pattern, which means it is giving minimal downforce (which could improve handling, but would reduce gas mileage).
But urban rumors will always be there, and I'm sure a spoiler has worked miracles for some folks. I have added spoilers to many cars in the past, and the only change I noticed was more chicks looked at the car longer, and the trunklid assist springs had to be changed to accomodate the increased weight.
Typically a spoiler is added in rear wheel drive cars to help with downforce to keep the back wheels firmly planted on the road so that they are getting more torque to the wheels and therefore better handling and speed. I don't think in a front wheel drive car it does anything but looks.
I have a Sport&Tech, comes with pretty much everything except what the Premium Package has, but oddly enough I saw an 09 with Tech Package, and what looked like a Sports Package but the car lacked 19 and a spoiler, so I was completely thrown for a loop, the leather interior was black with the red stitching, and I thought that was the premium leather, so the car had everything but the actual sports stuff

^^^The reason Spoiler is noted in my signature.

Newbie here! I have search the site and called a couple of dealers with different answers regarding my situation. I 2007 Nissan Altima lease is up in Jan 10 and will upgrade to the Maxima 2010. I loved the premium but love the 19 inch rims and spoiler on the Sport. I know I can add a spoiler to the Premium but can I add the 19 inch rims to it or do I need to order such a package? If this has been addressed before I apologize. Thanks
^^^ You can order the premium with a spoiler or have one put on. You can not get the 19" rim in any package except the sport. However, you can buy the 19" rims on line, i.e. E-BAY, CRAIGS LIST. IMO you get more with the premium and can add the sport package stuff.
I might just get the premium and switch out the the 18 for 19.
