Cattman Performance Catback Exhaust - Possible Group Purchase
Brian,
Sorry to hear about your dad.
Thanks for the update, I'm sure that will answer many questions. You do what you have to do, and keep us in the loop. I hope this will come to fruition by the time I am on the market for a CB exhaust (which won't be any time soon).

Very well said, owning a small biz my self I can only understand all the challenge you are facing when prototyping new product and dealing with all that stuff, it's not easy and we have to work hard before we get food on the table My sincere sympathy for your father.
Brian,
First I want to send out my heart-felt condolences to you and your family and I don't blame you for taking time away from work to be with your family through those trying times.
Most of the guys here are just anxious, I believe they mean well but if they are like most 7TH Gen Maxima owners (who tend to be career-minded, punctual and goal oriented) then they believe in sticking to timelines.
I would like to apologize on their behalf, I certainly appreciate you and what you and your little company are doing and have tried to do. I'm a former business owner also so I understand the challenges you face in trying to get a product to the masses however small they may be.
God bless you Brother, keep pushing through with your business the best you can, we can all wait and I believe that you will deliver somewhere down the line.

I very much appreciate the thoughtful condolences, thanks guys. No need to apologize for anything, because I'm not upset about anything, just embarassed on my own behalf for promising too much and delivering too little, simple as that.
I've been through enough product development cycles to know that once the customer is asked to express support for a possible new product (and does), there's sort of an ownership perspective that develops as they imagine it on their cars. When things get strung out timewise, its almost like we're holding back on something that already belongs to them and customer reactions will range from mild impatience to flaming hostility.
This is simply human nature. I don't have much patience with people who brand us as unreliable pretenders because we're running behind on a project schedule - that seems a bit harsh given our 13-year history as Maxima-specialists and many successful parts we've introduced - but I do understand why people have the expectations that they do.

Hey everyone, my first post
Just signed up for this forum looking for an alternative to the crappy exhausts that Stillen makes. After reading about your work Cattman and your reputation, I'm thrilled that you are coming out with a system for the Max. If you can price it competitively with Stillen's, you can count me in as a customer!

You'll be waiting a very long time if not forever, as 1sik4dsc states Cattman hasn't announced any plans to start this project for various reasons. Stillen at this point is our only option unless you go the frankenstein route.
I'm going to get the Racingline "Y" pipe for now, I think with the HP/TQ increase plus the addition of the R2C Intake and those HP/TQ increases combined I'll be very happy and have the nice stock looking exhaust that I really like when compared to the Stillen unit. Have you watched the Racingline "Y" pipe video? I would recommend you check it out.
www.racinglineperformance.com - find the "Y" pipe for the 09 Maxima and the video is at the bottom of the screen.

Ok, I guess we'll have to wait .
Now I'll be honest and admit I'm a car noob, so I apologize if this question is blatantly stupid....How about trying to fit exhausts from other nissan / infiniti cars onto the max? For example, will a greddy altima exhaust or an HKS infiniti g35 exhaust work on a max? If not, what would it take to fit to a max?
