Just be patient. This will be the best intake available, and they want to make damn sure of that.
Well the kind of do need to hurry it up alittle at this point. They keep on giving everyone time frames but are not following through with what they say and now they are not saying anything. I've emailed them and called once and no responses back.

Ditto, I hate companies that ignore you. 4 more days and they'll be a month late. We trust that it's the best, we don't need proof. GIMME!

This is very true we were promised this intake months ago, and it looked like many people were interested back then. Now since they waited so long and still nothing , looks like many people went with different intakes

That's awesome bro! Did they give any indication as to when the rest of us patient people will be able to get our own?

I'll be sure to ask them when I pick it up tomorrow night.

Shouldn't be much of a delay going into production.

I'm interested in hearing about their procedure to dyno it since everything i have read about it says how you can't dyno a CVT.

Well I'm not jumping ship as I'm a man of my word, I stated I would wait for this intake if they were willing to produce it. If later they decide not to produce this intake I'll move on at that point.

Alpha - make sure they strap your car down good I have to say it's a little scary seeing the car jump around a bit on the dyno....

Since there has been no reply I'm guessing the dyno didn't go well, so we can expect at least another month of screwing around. I'm getting closer to buying the AFE intake every day.

im wondering how did k & n get their readings from the dyno, i was looking at their dyno sheets on their website, although the readings look alittle low, it seems they got an improvement of 14hp at 5k rpm..

They may not be 100% accurate, but if they manage to get some stock numbers, and some numbers with their intake, that's something, and should hopefully give an idea re: gains/losses.

Hey guys, sorry I'm late haha!

The dyno went great and while it's hard to get a real world HP rating, they WERE able to get a comparison from stock to the R2C intake, which is all that matters IMHO.

Ed was very pleased with the results and said that it really picked things up nicely. I was hoping to keep the test unit on the car, but Ed said he'll get me a production unit for free once they are released. (A matter of a couple weeks)

I will say that this unit seals VERY nicely with the hood down. It's a SRI, but definitely cooler than an open element. You'll see.

So hang in there guys! : )

I think Ed should give us one heck of an introductory discount for making us wait an extra 1.5 months.

Nice. Now that they managed to get some numbers, they can give the go-ahead to start production.

O yes how could we all forget about that... Thank you very much for taking time out of your day to get this product done for our vehicle. I am sure I speak for all 7th Gen. Owners (on maxima.org) when I say that it is greatly appreciated that you have allowed R2C to use your vehicle for R&D.

I'm sure they let the coater/plater guys for the tubes know to start production soon after the dyno was completed. It'll be a few more weeks. I'm sure Cattman will post up, since he's the org vendor for R2c... Just hold out a bit longer guys!

ok so I havent been able to stop thinking about what I should do. I read other posts in diff threads talkin about the stillen intake. It seemed like many ppl were happy w/ it so i went ahead and purchased one this weekend. Shortly after I bought it i came across this thread It seems like the R2C is a better option, but im a lil late. I also saw that Kam is selling his stillen intake and waiting for the R2C. So should I really let this bother me and try to sell it and get the R2C or am i over reacting? I appreciate the advice...

We've been getting screwed around with by R2C for quite some time, so I don't look for this to be available to purchase for a while. They are already 1 month+ late on the release and still aren't in a hurry. Not to mention when you try to get a hold of them to get an update on the production status you are ignored. I would just stick with the Stillen.
