Tail Light & Turn Signal Tinting

Now that I finally got my Maxima lowered, I want to tint the tail lights and turn signal lights. Have any of you guys had problems doing it? Do they remove the lights completely or do they do it on the car? Did any of your tint guys have problems to remove the lights or where they pretty easy to do? What's the price range for this mod as well? Let me know your guy's input!

1sik4dsc-Alright cool, imma have the backs done then like that, the dude told me it would be $80. I wanna get the mirror lights too, but I might hold back. They look good with the chrome trim, gives it a nice contrast.

Question help...

This weekend I’m thinking of opening up my tail lights and painting the chrome black. I've read that someone suggest using a heat gun as opposed to baking the lens in an oven. What are your thoughts on this? The thought of putting the lens housing in an oven makes me sick to the stomach! anyone wanna come hold my hand?

Took one side out(what a &itch!, ridiculous how hard it is to change a freaking bulb, but it goes back in like butter). Your right Kmoney they are melted together without sealer. They might come apart but I don't think it would ever go back together very well.

Think I'm gonna paint mine also. Can you post a pic of yours Kmoney with the lights on and if you do, are your rear bulbs OEM or swapped? Any reason why you didn't paint the clear part also? Think I will do something like two coats over the red and just one over the clear...at least that's my plan now.

Nice tail lights Ghozt. I did the same setup on my car and I really like. You can tell they are tinted, but not to the point where I have to worry about cops trying to pull me for it unless I am already pulled for something and they decide to write me up for everything. They can get crazy from time to time in the DMV area.

I also tinted my side turn signals and I like the look (believe it was the left over 30% tint from the door windows). I will try to get pics up for you to see if you want. Wish I had remembered to get my shop to put in the LED lights when he had the tails pulled off the car though

i wasnt sure how i fwlt about getting the taillights painted which i feel results in the nicest finish so i got them tinted at the local tint shop with a medium shade film. i even did the side mirror blinkers.

yea its annoying, but then again some people black theirs out completely and at that point its stupid it can cause an accident. i went with a light spray tint cause i def wanted the guy behind me to know im braking
