Looks great!!

I put in a 12" JL sub with 500w amp and JL components in the rear deck (pulled the factory 6x9 "woofers").

One thing I'm having issues with is the way Bose staged the sound waaaay to the front of the vehicle. I plan on putting a CleanSweep in to eliminate the problem.

Thanks, the port is on the driver's side of the box:

It sounds unbelievable, you'd never in a million years guess it was an 8.

Awesome box man! I'm actually considering having AMI build my box as well. His work looks great and yours it yet another example!

Quick question ... where did you ground your amp? I've heard that the Maxima requires running the ground all the way to the negative terminal on the battery. I'm running a JL HD600/4 and HD750/1 so I might do it anyway, but I'm open to easier options.

Why would you need to run the ground up to the battery ithe max?is the chassis isolated and not grounded?

Just double checking.

I heard from a local car audio shop that it's a composite frame and probably wouldn't provide a good enough ground... but I have a feeling they were just trying to sell me some more wire and labor. They came in A LOT higher than everybody else so either they knew something others didn't or they just liked to overcharge customers for things they didn't need!

The best part of that was I even told the salesman that I worked in Car Audio for several years and he STILL tried to pull the old trick of jacking up MSRP and then putting a discount on it to make it seem like I was getting a deal. In reality he was trying to charge me MSRP on everything. Yeah ... like I can't check MSRP on the internet these days.

Fantastic! Thanks for the news. That'll save me a lot of hassle. I've been out of the 12v industry for the better part of a decade and haven't done an install since I did my '05 Evo MR so I wasn't sure.

... We now return you to your regularly scheduled topic ...

I used the spare wheel well and grounded it there. It seems fine, my zx1500.1 gets enough current.
