Powder coating is the answer
I suspect these are darker. When I get these mounted, I'll have a set (on the car) that I'll be looking to move along (they are in mint condition). You could powder coat them and still be way under the cost of the sport wheels.
Thanks, I currently have a set of sport wheels on my car 09 sports though. I work for Nissan, so the cost isnt really the issue lol. Good luck with them though

Precision Powder Coating
The guy has literally hundreds of colors to choose from, cool guy too.
Here are the prices (that the guy emailed me):
18" rims any single stage powder 80.00/rim
18" rims any 2 stage powder 110.00/rim
What you are looking at is a two stage. Not 100% sure what constitutes a 1 or 2 stage, but I suspect clear coat. From the 1 stages that I saw, I wasn't that impressed.
The rims look hot!
I am glad that you posted the link my bro in law is working on rebuilding an old Indian dirt bike and I was telling him that powder coating was the way to go with the frames and such! Looks like this place does good work!

It is a powder that is applied then baked onto the wheel

k757…Dude, those wheels look better than the stock 2010 19". I really like the wheels. Look forward to seeing them on your car.
1sik...You gotta do that to your 19's. That would truly look sik….

I think you'd be talking Ounces per wheel. I doubt that's going to add anything significant.
I like the look.
After looking at NYCX's dark on black, I'm not sure I like the all darkened out look on black cars enough to do it to mine.
Nothing against the "stealth" look NYCXCHUNK. I just prefer the contrasting look.

The tires were dirty/dusty in the photos as I took the shots on the way home from Firestone. I already hit it with shine and they are much better now.
Yeah I heard it adds like 35 pounds by powder coating it. And you know for these drag strip, high performance, super tuned, super drift, 10 second quarter mile race cars we call Maximas, that is waaaaay too much weight. Bad idea OP.

BTW when did people become so obsessed with weight as far as cars? Sound worse than a H.S. cheerleader in Orange County.

to anyone concerned with weight, the powder is just glorified brake dust
There are plenty. I want to say maybe 1 a month (or more). For anyone living in the NYC metro area, I highly recommend they join the NYCMaxima forum.
I think the next meet is on 4/17
The last meet was an epic event.... it was cRaZy!!!
