Bike rack for Maxima

Anyone out there either have a bike rack for your maxima or have had a hitch installed for the purpse of adding a Hitch mounted bike rack. I would even consider a roof rack. Pictures would be great.

Thanks!

It's something I might add later this year, I've looked at Thule so far and like their setup for the Maxima. I normally use my SUV as my bike hauler however this summer when I go to Colorado for vacation I would like to drive my Max.

Due to my bike being a full suspention MTB, a trunck mount will not work. I hate to due it, but I may have to put a hitch on my Maxima. I already have the hitch mounted bike carrier.

I have a full suspension MTB also, I'm gonna use the roof not the trunk.

Both Yakima and Thule make holders that strap down the tires and don't touch the frame.

Any recomendations for a trunk mounted bike rack?

I have 2 mountain bikes one weighs 22lbs and the other 27lbs. I am using an old rack that has lasted me 20 years that I have used on 10 different cars and has worked perfectly. When I installed it on my 7th gen Maxima over the weekend, it looks like the trunk is going to ripp right off. Plus I cant beleive how much the bikes shake when I drive. Never seen this before.

I am looking at the Yakima Super Joe and the Saris Bones, not sure if I want to spend $130 on a bike rack.

FHP - did you put a hitch mount on your Maxima?

If so, what kind of hitch did you use? Thanks - I'm leaning the same direction.

I have a Thule aero roof rack on my 09 max, and have been using it for about a year.
