It seems like I can not get my stereo to turn on while the car is turned off!

I can not believe I can't listen to my stereo to turn on with out having the car turned on; is there a trick to it???

 

With your foot off of the brake, hit the start/ac button. This will power up the radio without starting the car.

 

Also remember several here have had trouble with the battery in this 7th gen Maxima. Often this happened when the owner was just sitting in, or working on the car with the motor not running. I would be very careful not to play the radio very long with the motor off.

 

The second day I had my car I put an optima red in. Not b/c I had to, just because I had it already and didn't want any troubles like light described

 

without pressing the brakes, press the start button once for radio, twice for radio + ac, tres for off.

 

What red top model fits? I always switch over to Optima but only when my stock battery dies. Thanks
