Excellent!

In a nutshell:

Nissan sold around 4K Maximas in January, compared with around 2.7K in January 2009.

Nissan sold around 5.3 Maximas in February, compared with around 2.8K in February 2009.

MaxLoverAz - Thanks for the article and chart. Very good news. I had the feeling I was seeing far more 7th gens lately.

You lucky dog! My wife and I see 7th gens almost everywhere we go now. My arm is tired from waving at them.

My wife and I drove just 150 miles on the metro Atlanta freeway system today, and spotted four 7th gen Maximas, including only the second Ocean Gray we had ever seen (it had Florida tags). Our Frost Premium was drawing a few glances, probably because it had just been cleaned and polished.

Since I bought my 2010 Max, I've had my eye on other Max on the road but don't really see a lot here in Phoenix. But I know there's a lot sold just not sure whey they go!

I don't know why, but I never seem to notice Bimmers. I think it must be because their styling changes are so subtle I don't know one year from another. I do know their 3 series has average reliability, which is better than any of their other series.

The only times I ever sat in a 3 series, I noticed they don't have the room the Maxima has, and the controls looked quirky to me. I am a little surprised so many folks still like the old RWD setup. Not for me. I personally feel many folks buy BMW either for the enjoyment they get out of shifting a retro manual tranny, or for the image of the logo, which is fine, if that makes them happy.

I prefer the room, reliability, FWD, intuitive controls and newer styling of the Maxima. Always have.

P.S. - In looking back two posts, I now remember have three-tenths of a new Maxima I purchased back in February that I am tying to sell. Any interest? ;<))

You have to realize, that most of those cars were probably financed or leased, and that IM 100% SURE that some of those cars will have to be repo'd so, there is still a chance that their banks can lose money.
