Turning off TPMS Warning Light -- Possible??

Can you turn off the dash warning light for the tire pressure monitoring? TPMS.

I bought summer wheels and didn't want to switch the sensors from stock or buy new ones. Hoping somebody figured out how to reset/cancel the warning light.

If not, I guess I'll just use some black electrical tape!!

You might find an answer in the 'need help; tire maintenance light on dash' thread that is here on the front page of the 7th gen board.

Same here. Have tpms sensors in my stock wheels & tpms sensors in my summer wheels. My TPMS light has been on since I switched out the stocks for my summer tires. I understand that you need to reset the ECU with the new TPMS sensor info. Dealer wants $40, but I don't want to pay $80 a year to the dealer when I change/rotate my own tires. Anyone use/recommend a reset tool? Thanks!

move to Texas and you won't have a 'summer' 'winter' wheel problem)) I did have my tpms sensor trigger four days after I got my new wheels and tires. I had a leak in one of the valve stems. Since Discount tire sold them to me they fixed at now charge and no appointment. I was in and out in 15 minutes. JP

I doubt there's any way to "shut off" the TPMS warning. It's a federally mandated system, not a manufacturer option. Sure, you can reset it, but will need a CONSULT unit to reinitialize the system.
