I just did the chrome cover above the license plate but I think that was the last thing I'm going to vinyl wrap however I did play around with the idea of doing the hood and trunk

Really great job! I like it because YOU CAN TAKE IT OFF! That is the best part.

I am looking to do some vinyl work too. Currently looking for a vinyl shop who can do custom cuts for me.

I think those fender stripes only flow good with Dodge Muscle cars like the Challenger.

finally blacked out the chrome around my windows and it looks so much better. sucks that the place i got it at gave me no more than the exact amount required. messed up a couple of areas. the curve around the rear windows, just cuz of the fact that rubber around the window was being a pain in the *** to tuck the vinyl behind. and the bottom chrome piece was the worst because i wasnt able to tuck the vinyl under the rubber strip. that rubber strip on the bottom chrome piece is glued on. so i had to overlap the vinyl ontop of the rupper trim. im a perfectionist so ima order another roll and fix the f ups. whats funny is that the vertical black trim in between the front and rear window uses the same vinyl im using. this method is much better than painting lol. good weekedn project.

I think that that vinyl work was done perfectly. I really want to vinyl wrap my car the same way, except with yellow vinyl. I was wondering if anyone could help me out in giving me dimensions for pre-cuts, or actually doing it for me and I could pay for work done. Thank you

your car is hot. I have the chrome trim all over my car and it looks okay but a little cheesy like the k-mart crap people throw all over their car. what you did here is bangin, great work.

this thread is awesome because you see so many people doing stuff simply never seen before. anyone can buy something made by Stillen, but you are a real modder son!

I got a glossy black matte sheet, 24" x 60" off of Ebay via StickerCity, and it looks GREAT! It matches the shininess of the B pillars. I'm going to be trying to install on my window trim now, and depending on how easy it is might try the front lip area like you've done, saw another Max with that and the Stillen lip and it looked hot.

Doing the install this weekend, was commenting that the material itself matches the shiny gloss black of the B pillars on the car, so if the matte black doesn't do it for you the glossy matches perfectly. I'll post pics of it when I'm done.

So happy I stumbled onto this thread. Got a lot of ideas now churning in my head with vinyl.

What do you guys think about blacking out the chrome pieces with vinyl on a tuscan sun 7th gen? I can't really decide if it would look cheesy on a dark red 7th.

Finally did the chrome trim around my windows. Damn it makes the car look so much more aggressive and definitely makes the windows look bigger. Got me considering blacking out the chrome piece on th trunk and the front grill as well. Just looks so mean.

Looks pretty ill. I was wondering the same about a crimson black color. Anyone got any pics of that? I've been looking for some pictures of that color with any mods.

Sure, it'll match the pillars that are already on the ride

Is it just me or does anyone else see an unmarked cop car here. Maybe it's the number "21" that's causing me think that?
Nice work!

KMoney - nice man. Those door handles must have been a pain. Do you use dry application vinyl or wet? My glossy vinyl is dry application and I have mixed feelings about how easy it is to work with.

I tried wrapping my rear chrome piece on the trunk, and it just looked fugly on my silver car with nothing else black in the rear. I'd need to vinyl wrap my spoiler or the lower exhaust area for it to look right, so ripped it back off. I also used a glossy black vinyl which looks weird everywhere except around the windows.

so your vinyl applies with water/soap i'm guessing? i need to find some like that because this dry-apply stuff I got is easy to mess up
