i couldnt get it to match so i changed both the bulbs in the headlights to 8k and added a 8k hid kit to the fog lights.

Your absolutly correct sir. The higher the K the less lumens the bulbs produce and vica versa. For vision purposes the lower the K the brighter/ more lumens. The stock 4300k are brighter than the 6000k but I think the 6000k looks nicer. Each person has to compromise between what temperature color they like best and the visibility they perfer.

This isn't my first go round with aftermarket HIDs. The first time I went with the 8000k. On the 7th gen max I wanted more visibility so I went to the 6000k and I'm pretty happy. I might go with 5000k if I decide to change them out. It's all a matter of opinion and nobody can be right or wrong.

Is that the stock projector lens or did you change it out for the clear lens?

I suspect that is due to the projector lens focusing of the light, where the fogs just have some clear glass/plastic and the light is scattered

Yea, try ducking down and getting right in the path of the projector light and if you can still see to type after that, then tell me which one is brighter

You have to place an LED behind the projector, but be sure not to get in the way of the cutoff line. I am doing that as well as the clear lens mod pretty soon, waiting on parts to come in.

What I was talking about was replacing the projector lens and replacing it with a clear lens.
