our new cars!!!

well, i finally got my stinkin 15 posts so i can start a thread.....anyway.... a couple weeks ago the wife and i went looking for a car for me to trade in my Mazdaspeed3 in for... i was looking for something cheaper and better on gas mileage. but i kept going back to the Maxima. well my wife kept looking at the 370z. she had a saturn sky with very low miles. long story short, we got offered deals that we couldn't pass up, and we both drove out with what we wanted.... she got a 2010 black cherry 370z with sport package...and i got a 2010 crimson black maxima sv sport/tech...here are a couple shots of the night we were at the dealer, and a couple of them in the garage....also, since i've taken these pictures, i've debadged the rear of the maxima completely....

great pick-up. Crimson black is probably one of my favorite colors on the 7th gen. How come you didn't opt for the 2011 max instead?

Dealership said it was the Maxima color that sold the most. And like you, it has grown on me too.

While we are waiting for bluelion's reply, I will say he probably saved at least five thousand bucks by getting the 2010 370Z and Maxima Sport instead of the 2011. He probably saved at least three thousand on the Maxima alone, since the 2011 Maxima Sport had exterior changes. Dealers are trying to quickly clear their lots of leftover 2010s at whatever price they can get.

well, they didn't have that color in 2011 on the lot and like i mentioned, they gave us pretty good deals on em since they were 2010's.

exactly right.....they knocked off a lot off the maxima PLUS didn't roll negative equity from my speed3...AND did the same on my wife's 370 and sky.....

looks like you got a great deal on both cars. I agree---the minor changes in the 2011 is not worth the extra you would have had to pay.

I really think that is a sales pitch. Of all the 7th gens I have seen, I have only seen 1 other 7th gen on the road besides mine in Crimson Black.

Congrats bluelion on grabbing two great cars.

Of course that is partly because the Crimson Black is a new color for 2010. It was never available on the '09s. And I think Nissan was a little uncertain about the Crimson Black, as most dealers only got one 2010 Maxima of that color the first month the 2010s came out. Many smaller dealers got no Crimson Blacks until they specifically ordered them from Nissan.

That is a good point. I had to look all up and down the east coast for my car and I could only find one in Crimson Black with the package I wanted.

Maybe but in my driving route to work - I know I see at least 3 Crimson Black in that color. In fact, now that I know what it really looks like outdoors, I notice it more - I think at first I thought it was black. But a closer look at it says otherwise (Like Ocean Gray)

Congrats and niiiice, 2 cars I would not mind swapping out with wifey every now and then and not be mad ! Your wife is going to love that Z and that 7spd auto gets that car moving, I love it in my Z. Can't wait to get it back to the track and see what it can do know that is has some miles on it!

Congrats Bro, two great cars in great colors and welcome to the Nissan family. I have all Nissans in my family as well three Maximas, one Altima and maybe soon a Murano or Juke.

How close is the black cherry color to the crimson black? In the pics they look close.

it's pretty darn close....in certain light they look exact....and in other light/angles you can tell the Crimson Black is a tad darker than the Black Cherry....
