Custom LED's anyone?

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has done any light/LED modifications to their 7th gen yet. Any suggestions, references, tips, and pictures are always welcome.

I want to solder in all the tiny mood/accent lights on inside door handles, visor, push start button to white or a even glowing red. the amber color sucks.

LED's

I purchased my led's from autoilluminations.com. THeir leds were pricey though (spent about 60 bucks) Went a little cheaper on the wifes Murano @ vleds.com. Overall the quality is about the same. I cant tell the difference. THe install was easy(only took 15-20 min) Becareful with the doors thought. If you pull too hard to pop the plastic out you will break it.

How can exterior LED's be illegal. The rear lights on our cars are LED. The generation before current Honda accord was all LED rear lights.

I think you might mean like under body kits or something like that.

sorry let me clarify. According to the code of VA, it is illegal to modify any of the lights on the vehicle to be a different color than that of factory specs, nor can you add any auxiliary lights to the exterior of your vehicle. there is also a limit on how big and bright interior lights can be and placement of such lights.

VA laws suck.

Wow, I am sure those laws are on the books here too but not enforced. Cops are fine as long as you don't have wild color lighting. Definitely would not have kept me from my mods but I understand if you want to be on the safe side.

I must say,I have tried them all and I would say VLEDs is the best qaulity, longest lasting with the least failures, correct color matching, best packaging and fastest shipping.

Number 2 would be autolumination.they are not cheap either but have very well made LEDs and match very well. The shipping is really slow.
SuperbrightLEDs is next in line.you all know enough about them so i wont say any more. Not a bad choice at all.

Anything else is still a hit or miss.

I have changed every light in the maxima i could find. All i have left is to figure out how to expose the glove box light to change that and the tiny SMD leds for the sunroof area that lights the shifter that is stock amber in color and the inside door handle lights.Maybe even the push start light to a even glowing red when off and pure soft white while on.And of the course the key FOB slot lights.Add a under hood LED board for those emergeny times you dont have a flashlight and be done tinkering. lol

Search the site. We have talked about this. I have them as well. Got them from VLED. I posted some links in an earlier post that will help.
