I'm usually not a fan of greenish or blueish tints but for some reason it really beautifies the 7th gen max body lines.
it kinda softens up the very bold aggressive style and brings it more to luxury side.
they don't seem to be popular colors and sometimes the mystic jade can kinda look like a army green...I remember my first every 7th gen max sighting few years back in late 2008, it was a beautiful ocean blue.

Ocean Gray is the fastest and most classy color
Just kidding, love the black, white, silver, sunset, slate gray and red but my wife (the owner) picked the Ocean Gray, which is beautiful and seems to reflect light such that at times it looks darker gray and other times lighter blue (sort of like the ocean when its not green). She chose that color after we were unable to find a Mystic Green example anywhere at local dealerships. I don't think that Nissan made that many of those and can see why some people don't like the green. We had a Green Pontiac Bonneville from 1987 to 2003 when Greens were all the rage.
Can anyone find a breakdown of how many of each color was sold/made for each model year; such a breakdown is pretty cool and there is such a breakdown available on the LS-1 GTO Forum for my 2005 Quicksilver Goat; its also broken down for interior color, 6 speed vs. auto, etc but Pontiac/Holden (Australia) only produced 30,000 in 2004; 24,000 for 2005 and 32,000 for 2006 so maybe its easier; anyone know how many Max's were sold 2009 and 2010 or where such info can be found?

Love it!!
I picked up my '10 Ocean Grey Maxima SV in July of last year and I absolutely love it!! I originally wasn't a fan of the color, but pictures of the car in that color don't do it justice!! You have to see it in person to truly appreciate it. I was always into flashy colors, so coming from a person who's had a 2003 Burgundy Altima S, a 2003 Satin Silver Acura RSX Type-S, a 2004 Frost White Pearl Maxima SL, and a 2006 Nighthawk Black Pearl Acura RSX Type-S, I have grown to appreciate the color of Ocean Grey; it definitely is a classy color and looks excellent on the car. I blacked out all of the chrome trim around the car to set it off, looks pretty sexy to me!! Check my album out!!

Almost got a Mystic Jade Sport, OMG that color is sexy. Ended up getting silver which was what I originally wanted and also bc my dad disliked Mystic Jade. Ocean Grey is beautiful too, but you have to see it in person to appreciate it.

I have the mystic jade. It doesn't show dirt, and turns MANY heads. I sit at intersections and watch peoples eyes turn, heads turn...I've seen people tell their friends to look too...It may be the billet grill too...but it's the package.

I have the ocean gray. Really wanted a white one, but dealership didn't have one in stock. I didn't like the color at first, now I'm starting to like it. Getting lots of positive comments about the color from friends and strangers.

I have a Ocean Grey maxima, so your not the only one that likes the color . And like most people here, I get a lot of compliments on the color.
Pictures do not do the color justice, since the color will look different in certain light. Such as a nice sunny day, it looks like a light silver-ish blue. Personally, I think the color goes well with all the chrome accents on the car.

i got the ocean gray and love it. my first choice was the crimson but the dealer didnt have one, and after looking at the crimson in a few different lights it had a tint of purple. And a purple car isn't really appealing to me

Mystic Jade
@BBMAXI..You are not alone! I went today to look at one and fell in love. That is THE most beautiful color ever! I almost closed on a silver one but something told me to go and see that jade one and I am so glad I did! I pick it up in the morning! That car is HOT!!!!I can't wait!!!!

I drive a Mystic Jade 7th gen the color is beautiful and always changing sometimes its green other times looks kinda grayish or blue. At first I was gonna go super black like my last car but its just to much hassle to keep clean.

I'm very happy with my Mystic Jade. I don't even consider it "green". There can be a greenish tint in the sun, but for the most part the color shifts toward a blueish-gray. I like knowing that it's not a color I see very often. I really like the white Max's but they are pretty popular in Atlanta.

The color Mystic Jade is no longer available with the release of the 2012 Maxima.
The first time I saw a mystic jade on my dealer's lot (back in 2008), the day was cloudy, and the car changed colors as I walked around it. I walked on down the line of cars, then looked back and could not even pick out the Mystic Jade car from other gray ones.
Then the sun popped through, and the car was suddenly green. But when I looked again a few minutes later, it had a hint of violet. This is definitely the car for those into the world of the occult.

Mystic Jade
I originally wanted a black Maxima but the dealership only had a white or mystic jade in the S model. I knew I didn't want the white and wasn't too excited about buying a "green" car but now I'm loving it. Like others have previously said, it changes colors depending on if its a sunny day or cloudy day, one time it looks grey, then tealish, then a silverish green. Before I even drove the car off the lot I had 2 other customers (both men) commenting on how much they liked the color. Since driving it around town I've received several comments on the color, how its so different and one you never see and how much they like that color and yes, they have all been men. Seems like this color is very appealing to males. ha ha

Actually this is the same mystic jade blue gray as the one one the altima, which doesn't look so hot....but it makes the max more luxurious looking, kinda smooth out the aggressiveness of the design.

I just got rid of my 08 Altima Coupe and bought a 2011 Mystic Jade as well and love it. Dealer had multiples of all other colors besides the Jade and it really just caught my eye. I have yet to ever see another Max on the road the same color (usually just see silver, white, or black.) Can't wait to tint the windows as I know its going to make a world of a difference!

I have the mystic jade...love it. Everyone that see's it comments, and they always sound sincere, that the color is really nice. When its clean and freshly waxed it just shines, I get a lot of looks of people on the streets or driving by when they stop and stare.

EDIT: 35% all around, not really that dark...something in the 20% or so would be nice

ya it's kinda weird, mystic jade and ocean blue doesn't look that great on a altima but it looks so hot on a a35.

Yes, I too get the head turns and some actually do a double take as I drive by in parking lots etc. This color was SO against anything I would have ever bought but I am thrilled with it!!!!!!! Oh, yes dark tinted windows will make you sing serenades to your Max after it is done!

My '11 Mystic Jade w/ Tinted Winds
I went to the dealership for a Winter Frost w/ Black interior, was about to contract on a Tuscan Sun w/ Black interior, and then came home with this Mystic Jade/Black interior.
It's a good thing I knew exactly what I wanted before I even set foot on the lot. Sigh.

Dalcarfan, you sound like me. I went to the dealership to buy a used black Altima and ended up leaving with a new 2011 Mystic Jade Maxima. I will admit, it wasn't my first choice of color, I really thought I wanted a black one but knew it would be hard to keep clean. It was between a white or mystic jade and I did NOT want a white car, so jade it was! The color is growing on me, I like the fact you never know what color its going to be from day to day and I've not seen another this color in my area.
#38
Mystic jade wasn't my first choice, but I ended up with it anyway and haven't regretted it one bit. I'm actually really glad I ended up with it. Its really sunny most of the year where I live and it looks great in the sun.
