This may sound stupid but I can't figure outanything else to do to the car. The audio is all there. Any ideas? Thanks for all the compliments.

post pic of the lip and we can help you much betta
did you have to get it fitted and shaped at all? i noticed the instructions mention some of that.

also, i laid the piece down sideways and let it settle for a few days and the warping disappeared. also the grey worn parts are just near the back edges, and the entire piece will need to be sanded anyway so it will all be grey.

just trying to hunt down someone in MD that can do the painting...

The lip doesn't come pre-painted, it comes in a basic black plastic finish that needs to be fitted/sanded/painted to match your car. When you order it you'll want to lay it down flat so it can "settle" because it can warp slightly from shipping. Mine was a little lumpy on one side and after 2 days laying down flat it looks symmetrical now.

The install looks pretty easy, if you're not counting the pre-fit and any potential sanding that may need to happen to get the perfect fit to the car. The piece itself attaches with what looks like 3M tape and 4 small screws and could most likely be self-installed. Not sure if maybe using a small line of glue in addition to the 3M tape might help secure it to the bumper; my boy winced when he saw the "mounting solution" was primarily 3M tape...

Did you get the Viper alarm that supports Viper SmartStart and has smartphone apps to turn your car on, open trunk, unlock, etc? If so I'm curious if you got that and how it works for you?

It does not rub at all in the rear; even with passengers and all the audio. My trunk is dynomatted, 2 amps, sound processor, sub, and crossovers in the rear. Did not have to roll my fenders either. I have the remote start installed on my car, but I just use the viper keyfob. I had it installed before that option was available. I used the I-data link module because it was the only one offered back then with the automatic takeover so you don't have to restart your car once you step in. All you have to do is step on the brake, put it into D and go.

Oh interesting to note about the alarm, didn't know that some didn't "fully integrate" and would require you to start the car again. Does the Viper keyfob completely replace the Nissan one (as in that is what the car detects to start) or do you still have to carry the Nissan one around to start the car?

Good to know. Wonder if it's worth it to get the SmartStart thing that has smartphone apps to let you control it. Might as well use that instead of carrying a bunch of keyfobs. I'm guessing that the Nissan keyfob's buttons no longer work after the Viper install and it's purpose is to only let you start the car, or can you also use the door handle buttons to unlock if you're near the car with only the Nissan keyfob?

Although I am confused as to how the car needs to be started again, unless your Viper alarm doesn't have the remote start at all. Does the car just shut off when you get in it or something?

I got the Viper 5901. It already has the remote start integrated into the alarm. I have to carry both keyfobs. If I don't have the Nissan one on me, once i step on the brake, the car will know that the keyfob isn't there and turn off. If I use the nissan keyfob to unlock the doors, it will trigger the alarm because of the doors unlocking while armed. I believe the DEI module that can be used with the viper alarm requires you to restart the car once you get in no matter what. The Idata Link module does the automatic takeover once the car senses the nissan keyfob.

This maxima is sweet. I want a stillen front lip and the eibach kit. The lip looks amazing. suttle but noticable. how do you like the eibach springs? how much did you pay for the springs? I am going to install myself. I am concerned about the factory shocks failing with the eibach kit. what is your impression? any responses are appreciated.

You should be able to find a price for the springs on Stillen's website. The stock shocks will be ok Pro Kits are developed to work with the OEM shocks.

This Maxima is super clean very tasteful.
