In the car manuel it says that the Fog light bulbs are 55w. Does that mean that I must get a 55w HID kit or I could go with 35w. I had a 35w kit laying around the house from my other car and I hooked it up and it worked until I used my high beams once and there went the ballast. Maybe the car stock wattage was higher and smoked the ballast? I dont know??

 

55W is a rating for the Halogen bulb. I don't personally recommend 55W HIDs in any stock housing because they get too hot. Stick to the 35W Hids.

 

55W HIDs in fogs will probably melt the reflectors so keep it down to 35W.
