also be carfull. those tabs or what ever there call that attashes the screw form the light to the frame, brakes easy.

thanks for the tips guys! I just baked them at 200 for 15 minutes and they came apart pretty good. The hardest part is lifting the first section but once you've got the lens peeled back a bit and the sealant is warm it comes off very easily. I just taped up the housings, primed em and waiting for em to dry. Great way to spend a Saturday night

got my 6k HID fogs wired up and working. gonna finish painting the headlight housings now, let them dry over night and put everything back together tomorrow.

yes. and I installed the HID fogs while I had the bumper cover off. the housings came out mint, I did them a little bit different that others I've seen. I left the ring and twist section around the projector chrome and did the rest black. also painted the orange reflectors black. they are drying right now..I hope to re-seal & re-install them in the morning.

If your planning on baking the headlights. Put the oven on 250 degrees and place the headlight in there for 10. Loosen it up and put in the oven again for 7 minutes. Then it'll be easy to pull the headlights apart. PM me if you have any other questions.

PS: Resealing is gonna be the most important aspect regarding condensation or fogging which is gonna be the REAL issue when modding headlights.

Looks great. Always a fan of blacked out headlights. Are you going to be attending any car shows in the GTA this summer? or are you a show car guy? Im in the GTA most weekends with my show car. XTS, Importfest, DMCC etc.

When you hit up the Stillen front lip let me know, and we'll try and split the paint costs together Put both of our lips in the booth at the same time. PM if you're interested.

I would be interested to check out a few shows/events for sure. what kind of ride is your show car? in regards to painting the lip, a friend of mine has a body shop and he is ordering the paint this week. I also have a Stillen roof wing to do. what area are you in? I'm in Bolton..do u know where that is? sending PM~

Can you use plasti-dip on the housing, or would the heat generated inside the hosuing be too much for it?

I have never used plasti-dip but I think the heat would be an issue for this application. I just used Dupli-Color

no problem! I'm glad it worked out for you. 180 is a safe temp for most tails. so what kinda mod are you doing to the tails? care to tell or is it gonna be a surprise for us all?
