I'm a big fan of dupli color. It's decent quality paint at a good price. But I think the most important piece would be how well you prep the grille, not just paint.

well it depends what kind of finish you want. If you want gloss than I would just go with Dupli-Color. if you want more of a flat finish than go with Black Satin made by Mar-Hyde. I used Black Satin on my grille and put 2 coats of clear over it. if you hold the clear can back about a foot and mist it on, it will give a nice textured look

agreed! prep work is just as important as the paint! some would agrue its even more important but I rate them equal to achieving the best results. i used a red scotch brite on mine and ran it thru each and every piece of the grille (honey comb)

I painted mine and regret it. I have gotten a couple rock chips already. Of course only I would notice them but I was only after a week or so and Im pissed. Is plasti dip still and option at this point now that its painted?

I would assume if you can put it over factory paint you can put it over aftermarket paint

Same happened to mine with regular spray paint. First day, 3 rock chips and the grill looked awful. Took it off and redid the paint with Plasti Dip. Once that was done I clear coated it several coats. Have been driving with that for 3 weeks now and no chips. Much better set up.
