Wow, even Infiniti has slipped well below what it use to be. The few issues with the 370 and Max doesnt help either, but like Mreim said the Titan, Quest and add Armada to that as they really are the main culprits.

Haha, if I recall the Armada was one of the worst. I can't believe I forgot that. Thanks for reminding me Monte!

I am thankful the 7th gen Maxima has done well in reliability ratings. We have a very reliable car according to Consumer Reports, and a very very reliable car according to Mike Koresh's TrueDelta rankings.
I couldn't help but notice that Nissan has been able to keep its U.S. production lines going because most of the parts used to make their cars are made in the U.S. By contrast, Chevy has had to stop two U.S. production lines because they get many of their parts (including big body parts like hoods and trunks) from Japan. And yet Chevy dealers have always been the worst around where I live to smother their ads with U.S. flags and the 'Buy American!' mantra.
And I don't buy that argument that 'the profits stay in the U.S.' when you buy an 'American' brand, either. The reality is that buying a General Motors product for most of the last decade cost GM a loss, and that loss was transferred to the U.S. taxpayer.
But I digress.

Lol, the majority of them sold "TownCars" were sold to fleet sales/pvt limo companies (also as old as that model is they ought to have it down to hardly any issues)......., Hertz and Avis don't complain..hehe........The remaining models Navigator (recommended by C.R) etc are sold in such few numbers etc etc.

yeah i think someone needs to do a breakdown for just Sedans/Coupes and a separate one for SUVs/trucks. its kinda like Ford: incredible trucks but terrible terrible everything else. I grew up with a Ford Taurus and something was ALWAYS broken. after buying my first Nissan (an 02 Sentra Spec V) it like blew me away that cars could work for years without breaking. so im definitely surprised Nissan is down there on the list, something has to be dragging us down...

The things still holding Nissan down as a brand in these rankings each year is their SUVs and Pick-ups. They still are very unreliable and have issues across the board. Just look at CR's long term reliability charts for them. If you look at most of the sedans and crossover they are ranked very well for reliability and are recommended. Nissan needs to either gut those vehicles or do a complete overhaul on them like they did on the Quest, which was another problem littered vehicle holding them down.

Well the Titan was suppose to be dropped in 09 but some how it has soldered on to 11, its gone for model year 12. That very problematic 04-09ish Quest was the worst of the worst, hopefully this new Quest is much better! The Aramada is a goner to (pretty much same as Titan mechanically), dunno if Nissan is going to Market the new body style AKA Infiniti QX for the Armada.

Interesting that our All-American corporation GM is being hit so hard by a Japanese disaster. Of course a disaster in Brazil or Mexico or any number of other countries would have hit GM hard also.
