Getting ready to purchase rims...Just a quick question?

So Im getting ready to order my rims tonight from wheelsnext and Im just trying to see whats a neccesity and whats not. I am getting just the giovanna califive rims, without the tires package. but it comes with and installation kit for 39.99 which includes chrome bolts or lug nuts as well as chrome valve stems and hubcentric rings. It also includes wheels locks for 25.99 which i feel would be a good idea to protect myself. The rims are 22x9 by the way. Thanks for your help gang!

Depends on the type of wheel locks. Thieves can easily get the wheels off with cheap locks. I think "Gorilla" is supposed to make the best wheel locks. For the valve stems, you're gonna need the tire pressure monitors unless you want the light to come on ever time you start the car.

on smooth roads it feels pretty close to the 18s. Just a little stiffer on rough pavement. The wheels are 22x8.5 35 offset. 245/30/22 fullway tires.

it would be great for car shows and temporary set ups but for daily u will feel it, your mpg will be massively affected as well.
Adversely affect everything as in what? I've had plus size wheels on 4 cars, and besides ride quality (small difference) and mpg, nothing has been affected. As long as you stay within reasonable overall height to the stock tires, the car will be fine. If you have to lift or cut up your car just to fit wheels, then i could understand.

My how we've drifted off topic. OP didn't ask for you all to dump your opinions, he asked a legit question. Stick to the topic please.

I forgot to add that for an additional 225 I can get the road hazard insurance for 2 years...on the fence about that too> We have a place called wheel medic that repairs rims for fairly cheap it they were to get bent but im not sure if i should just opt for the insurance

I do disapprove of 22's just bc Im a sporty kinda guy, 22s are too luxurious. But these wheels you are getting are absolute beauts RKing, I would go with the install kit, Just so you have a nice set of bolts that will be safe for the wheels.

Good choice on the rims man! I suggest you skip all that BS they are trying to sell you, instead put in your pressure monitors and go to the local parts store and get gorilla locks those things are way better then anything some wheel website is trying to sell you.

Btw BB you think its a big prob going from a car that comes with stock 19s to 22s? Its only 3 inches its the same as cars that come with 15s and 16s and people throw 18s and 19s on them and you guys approve of that, so I don't know what kind of logic you and others that are scared of big wheels are following.

Man, I like em a lot, plus they're black (my rims are as well). Please post some nice pics of them from all angles.

I couldn't really tell from that angle but how deep is that dish?

dont order their lugs or locks....I ordered my first set of wheels from them and the lugs/locks were identical to the ones you get at autozone with the generic key that there are actually only like 7 keys for all the sets. And they sent the wrong thread pitched lugs

not surprised. when i had a charger i had 22s with cheap kumho tires and then 24s with pirellis and the 24s road smoother and quieter than the 22s.

case & point that rubber is crucial in ride quality. I have Pirellis on my 22's on my truck and when its warm out they ride great, when its cold not so much. Quality of tire and temperature are key factors that dictate ride quality, obv not the only factors but its very important to buy good rubber

I agree with the tires comment, crappy tires equal crappy ride. Good tires like pirelli equal good ride even if you slapped 24s on your car.

I have heard alot of negativity from Wheels Next. Google reviews and the BBB. I wanted to order from them, but they have a horrible rating.

Have they changed? if possible.

Are u still goin with 22"? Its just a lotta problems.
20" with nice lower offset would look better, save u money on tires and give u better ride. 30 series on 22 will raise your car to a strange looking height and the weight! The horrors!!
