I've seen that setting too. I believe that it will just adjust the speed of the wipers based on the speed of the car. However I haven't noticed any affect even wehn I have it turned on. The rain sensing wippers I had on my Jeep were slick. Turned on when it started to rain and adjusted speed to the amount of water hitting the windshield.

Theres lots of things I can do manually that I prefer to have done automatically. I mean I can get up and change the TV station by hand but I don't think I will be throwing way my remote anytime soon. For the amount of bells and whistles included in the Maxima SV's I would think the auto wipers would be one. Especially if Jeep has been doing it for four years now....they are not exactly inovators these days.....Just sayin....

If I didn't get a black Max then the dual sunroof would be a must as it just makes a non black car look better. Went with the 19's and saved myself from spending money on rims and suspension upgrades. Honestly I would probably never use the dual sunroof because rarely does anybody sit in the back of my car. Black car and gun metal 19's=win.

well said. it's cause we're slowly being spoiled by technology. i couldnt imagine having to flip that little thing to change my rear view mirror from night/day now.

funny though because when you have all these other features you're like "aw cmon auto sensing wipers and auto-on headlights how hard would it have been".

soon we'll be complaining that only the front seats have heat/ac why not the rear too like other cars?

Funny that you mention that. I'm fixing to look into getting a right side driver seat imported so my g/f can have the cooled seat as well. As long as the mounting rails line up correctly on the passenger side of a US car. Not sure what they were thinking not even having an option for both front seats to be cooled I'm sure she'd like all of the lumbar support options too when we're on road trips.

Cool idea, let me know how that works out for you. Wonder how the wiring is, if it has everything it needs or if you'll need to add extra for the additional seat features to work. I seriously would love to have cooled seats but not sure I can just buy the Premium seat and stick it in - wow that would be an awesome mod though.

Had an 09 S Tuscan sun, then traded in for 11 SV winter frost, noticed alot of differences of course especially the quality of build was alot better.

2011 S, Silver.

I have owned a lot of cars/trucks and have to say that I think this is one of the finest cars I've had. Every one car is a compromise, but in general, this is the nicest daily driver!

Well the reason I got the premium was because I like the wood grain and the dual panel roof. I also told myself that i could always add the rear spoiler (which i did) and add the 19"sport rims ( still looking for a set). This way i have everything in both cars. I also noticed that the people with the '09 SV premium has the rear audio and heating controls so the rear passengers can control the settings. I believe for the 2010 and 11 models Nissan removed them. It looks weird seeing one without it. i remember when i first got mine everyone thought I had a TV in the rear center arm rest. Also the SV premium i believe we get auto up/down windows vs just the front windows.

The mood lighting for the SV premium is the orange glow that shines on all the window and door lock buttons. Also by the map lights. We also have the cooled seat.

I do hate the cracking in the roof sometimes. it can be annoying. I also realized when I bought the '09 the suspension I felt was a little harsher than the '02 GLE that i traded in.

The rear controls weren't removed until the 11 model.

Just bought a certified used 2010 SV Premium Tech with factory spoiler and 19" sport wheels. It was formerly a Nissan Corporate car. Love the car. Am I correct in assuming this was the highest optioned car available that year?

I just bought a 2011 SV with the Sport/Tech package and LOVE IT! Just got rid of my 2008 SE that was fully loaded and it only has 25k miles on it. Nissan has hit a homerun with this car no doubt!

2011 SV Sport/Tech with Nav. Tough to spend the cash and was leaning on the altima.. I wanted white with Charcoal, I hate wood trim tan, and they couldn't find one. Had the Max on the lot. They made a deal I couldn't pass up so I got everything but the dual sunroof.

I was initially looking at the Altima too, but when I saw the Maxima I was hooked, and had to have one.

That's what happened to me, I started figuring how much it would cost to get over my Maxima Envy, and well just decided to get the Max from the start

2010 SV Premium

I wasn't even out shopping for cars for myself and ran across this Dark Slate 2010 Maxima SV. This is one hot car! After driving it and seeing all of the features, I had to have it.

The dual sunroof pretty much sold me.

I have a black 2011 Maxima SV Sport, I love it! just bought it five days ago. Had it tinted and removed the "maxima" from the rear end. I also took off the front license plate from the front bumper, the retards drilled it into the bumper. I relocated it into the lower right hand corner of the grill.

2009 with sport and tech pkg. used.

I noticed posts complaining about no auto sensing wipers. But I have no interest in that. Just seems overly automated having that. I love the way you can click the wiper "wand" (what is it called?) upwards once and have it wipe just once. That is very useful as in other cars there are times I am clicking the wipers on and off just to wipe the windshield one time.

But I find the auto-headlights unnecessary as well. And they take too long to turn off in the morning. Maybe if I adjusted the sensitivity... Personally I'd have preferred other features than automatic stuff that is within reach without even taking your hands off the wheel!
I switch from headlights to parking lights in the early morning, especially if I'm heading into the sun. I like the back to stay lit up when the sun is shining into peoples eyes and when it is still kind of dark. Only thing I do like about auto-headlights is when driving through tunnels.

Gotta forgive Nissan for cutting corners on some of the little things as it was probably the only way to make this car Luxury, Sporty, and affordable. Max is a jack of all trades type of car. So don't expect it to do anything perfectly. Just expect it to do a heck of a lot really well.
