What Model 7th Gen Maxima Do You Own
What Model 7th Gen Maxima Do You Own
I'm curious to know the percentage breakdown by type of 7th Gen models owned by forum members. Feel free to add info on upgraded packages, aftermarket addons, ect.....
The model options listed in the poll come straight from Nissan's website. Of course there are multiple combinations such as sport with tech package ect....

2nd day of this thread and the SV Sports are edging out the other models. I kind of expected that since this is an enthusiast web site and the Sport is an enthusiast's car. It'll be interesting to see how things progress as more people vote. No offense to you premium owners out there. I do like that panoramic roof....looks sharp on a light colored car.
The percentage by sales per Nissan's projections are listed below

11 S, but I added leather, fog lights, and trunk spoiler (in process of adding Racingline strut brace and Stillen rear sway bar).
Wish there was a mild lowering option (around .6-.7 inches). I put an Eibach on a 5th gen Maxima and it became too sensitive to speed bumps and speed dips (yes, the state of Virginia has every manner of obstacle known to man to slow you down). Had an 04 Passat with mild lowering springs (just over half inch drop as I described above) and I didn't have to pay special attention to such things.

The new blacked out grille and smoked headlamp assembly are nice changes to the look of the 2011 SV Sport. The 19" wheels, spoiler, and low pro wheels add an aggressive feel to the car that the other models lack....just sayin

11 sv premium/tech
I was going to get a sport, but no dealer had any and once I saw how nice
The premium looked with dual sunroofs and wood trim I was sold. Also my son loves the power sun shade and the cooled seat is nice. It also handles
Fine, no roll and steering has good feel/feedback. I've had it for two weeks
Now and love it. I still do the stare at it after parking and walking away

'10 Preimium Tech.(fully loaded). Dual sunroof convinced me. I know all of the sport stuff i could do after.. I already have stillen front strut bar, stillen rear sway bar, and g37 19" so i would say i made a good investment. I came out having both packages
Nissan lists the below items
- Sport Tuned Suspension (retuned struts/shocks, stiffer springs and larger front stabilizer bar (26.5 mm))
- 19" Allow Wheels with P245/40VR19 tires
- Rear Spoiler
- Paddle Shifters (shared with Premium)
- HID xenon headlights (shared with Premium)
- Dark Chrome Grille (Black in lieu of full chrome on other models)

- Smoked Headlights
- Interior Metallic-link trim (Think Carbon Fiber-ish)
Power tilt telescopic stearing wheel
Memory system
Leather seats (Sport has silver stitching on black)
leather wrapped shift ***
Tilt down in reverse mirrors
Auto dim mirrors
What Nissan doesn't list is the added stiffening of the body in the front and rear to better handle the stiffer suspension with a bulkhead behind the rear seat. I also wonder how that panoramic roof on the Premium models affects body flex. To me a sport package with monitor or tech is the way to go. Living in south Florida the added roof glass that doesn't open is another way to make the car hot (temperature hot). I was also sick of the wood trim after having it in my last car for four years. The 19" wheels are the sharpest stock wheels available on any car I've seen....even better than the Infiniti rims installed by Shadow pictured above. I'd really like to see a detailed test track review of the sport vs. the premium in regards to performance.

You are correct....Nissan website was a little confusing on the HID headlights as they are noted as opional on standard SV model but also included in Sport and Premium Package (Changed My Previous Post to Note This). Thx

By the way....Nissan needs to seriously consider installing the automatic sensor wipers that detect when it rains and adjusts the speed automatically. That is the one feature I really miss that was on my Jeep GC.
I thought I saw somewhere in my settings the option for speed sensing wipers.
I went with the SV Sport/Tech because I saw most of the add-ons such as the Navigation, Bluetooth, Heated Seats, Tap Shifters, HID's, etc...were all things that I would either be trying to add to my car later or I simply couldn't add and would have to live without. In hindsight, I LOVE IT! Best choice ever!
The only hang up is that the back seats don't fold down, but really who the heck buys their Maxima to haul things? I have the little port hole to fit my hockey stick through and that's plenty.
I wish the Sport/Tech came with the air-conditioned seats like the Premium...but I passed on the Premium because I didn't want the wood trim/glass roof but really could use the A/C seats.
Yes the 2011 Sport has the tinted grill and headlights, but the older models don't.

Have you ridden in them? They put people to sleep they're so comfortable. If you need fold down / middle seat though I can see how you'd not get along with them though.
I have this amber LED as well, and I have Sport/Tech.

The other thing I didn't like about the Sport/Premium was that it came with 19" rims. My last vehicle had 19" rims and it cost me $900 for replacement tires anywhere, when it would have been about $550-$600 had I had 18" or 20" rims. There just aren't nearly as many tire options in the 19" category.
I do like the sweet look of the glass panel roof and the paddle shifters though. Too bad Nissan didn't part out their options a little more versus throwing them only in packages.
