Powder Coating my 19's

hey guys, so I want to have my 19's powder coated and having a hard time finding a shop in my area that does a true Black-Chrome finish. Here's a pic of what I'm leaning towards:

One of the guys I spoke to showed me some pretty cool colors. the one that caught my eye was a dark bronze like this:

Another option would be a dark gunmetal like this:

So what do you guys think?

save the money and leave them as is. use them for winter spares or whatever occasion.

I say use that money on some proper 20".

I agree! unless your getting them powder coated really really cheap. If not save up that money for some 20's. They will go well with your coilovers!

well I probably wont drive it in the winter anymore but if I do I'll get steelies on winter rubber so getting the 19s coated seems like a good idea to me even if/when I do get 20s. Plus the ride is nice right now, 20s with a 35 pro tire will be a different story...even knowing that I will still be getting them its just a matter of time. man I wish there were more options at 21"

Pick whatever color you like. You are building your car for yourself to enjoy. If you have a hard time picking a color...think about it more and use the money for some spacers.

ok so I found a guy that has a mirror finish black chrome and will probably be dropping them off to him next week. I have 2 sets of wheels for him to do so I'll get a bit of a discount, its not cheap, looking around $500 each set but I'd much rather pay for quality and have the coating last. Will post pics likely by the 16th

wow so your throwing in 1000 bucks but you'll still have that fat tire 40 series with 19" wheels that don't fill. Not to mention you'll be getting spacers fill the sides, of which will be filled with tire not wheel lip.

there is a japanese term caleld tsuraichi, it means to kiss the lip, when the lip of the wheel touches the fender. the goal is to really get as close to the fender lips and with your coilovers it's possible.

it's kinda like those lemans cars, they look so good because they so low. less tire, more wheel, almost as if the car was sitting on the wheels. that's what makes the visuals and taps emotions.

getting spacers and coloring the wheels is just more of the same, no net gain. just a net loss of your money.

but whatever u like I guess.

I agree with you for the most part. At this point I will be holding off on the spacers and trying to address the rear camber, problem is I cant find rear camber bolts anywhere! The guy I bought the coils from was supposed to have some but turns out only available for the front cant I just die grind the factory hole a touch? I mean I'm only 1 degree out of spec

I was talking to some people, turns out the eibach front aligment kit 5.81260K is the same as the 07+ altima. They said the rear camber bolts should work on the maxima. I thought its something you should look into.

ya those 20" M56 wheels are nice! I was looking at a set with rubber for $2800 but I want a lip so I passed on them.
