Has anyone painted the roof on their Maxima black to try and get the same appearance of the sexy look of the dual panel roof on the sport/premium?

If so please post pics, or even if you have come across pics somewhere else, please post.

I don't like 1 sunroof, let alone 2, but that blackout roof look is sweet, especially on the lighter colored cars.

Not even sure if a similar appearance could be achieved by painting, but was just thinking to myself it would be sweet if it is possible.

Couldn't agree more. Yesterday when I was at the installer of the Lamin-X covers I asked them if they do black vinyl wraps for the roof, they said yes but would recommend painting it instead. Being that the vehicle is in direct sunlight all day long, the vinyl would last a few years only. I would love to see what this would look like and how much others have paid for it.

I also think painting would be a better way to go. Paint would absolutely last A LOT longer than the vinyl wrap. STARR a good paint job will last longer than just a few years.

I know it will last longer then a few years, I wax my car every 3 months or at least try, and spray wax in between, but having moved to the south, the sun is different then NY and the cars here in GA look like vacationers who got too much sun, many cars here are maybe 5 years old and the factory paint looks flat and dull

Plasti Dip would be a cheap vinyl for the roof.... won't shine but if it fades it will cost another 10$ to fix lol and you can test the look

Don't think a pasti dipped roof would look that good.

I'm considering going with vinyl instead of paint in case I ever wanna go back to stock.

I've thought about vinyl wrapping my car to preserve the paint

Just saying you can check out the look ... Paint will look the best but vinyl is removable and plasti dip is super cheap and an easy way to test the look... good luck show some pics
