Conti DWS Tires
Conti DWS Tires
I know several people on this board have purchased them. How are the holding up? Any other OEM sized tires (Outside of the ones that came with the car) that you can report on the following?
-Ride quality (harshness, noise)
-Handling
-Dry grip
-Wet grip
-Snow
-Would you buy again?
I know Tire Rack has rankings but it would be good to have 7th Gen only updates with people that have put more than 5k miles on the tires.

I have not put them on my 7th gen yet. But I did have them on my 07' Civic SI and put about 10k miles on them before I traded in the car.
Compared to the OEM Michelin Pilots, ride quailty was comparable. They did not feel harsh and were maybe a smidge louder on the freeway, but not by much. Tthey performed about equally in the dry to the pilots. Very predictable when pushed hard. Turn in felt sharper that the pilots.
Where they really set themselves apart was in the wet and snow. Absolutely blew the pilots away in their ability to go through standing water and in light snow. My driveway is pretty steep and the Pilots would struggle to make it up. The DWS's yawned and climbed up with barely any protesting.
So in my experience, about equal to the pilot in dry, but much better in wet and snow. I would recommend and likely buy again without a doubt.
I am however thinking of trying the new General G-Max AS-03. They are owned by Continental and supposedly the tire is pretty good based on early reviews.
