is black the best color for the max ?

at first I really wanted white, but now I really admire my black color max.
it blends in with the wheel well shadows, the black molding,s the white and red tail lamps, and the chrome trimmings.
it also smooths out some of the edgy, boxy lines since the dark color kinda blends it all.
it just makes the car look meaner and more stanced out than other colors.
anyone else agree?

Yup black is pretty much the way to go until u own one. I hate swirls and its a B!tch to keep clean, but murdered is my style. Was gonna cop a white premium cuz that white black combo is ill but went with black
Probably depends on where we live. Close-in to large metro areas might be where used car buyers lean to black Maximas, as it is a striking color that, when clean, draws second looks.
At the other extreme would be upscale suburbs, where white and silver Maximas would probably sell better.
Of course climate factors in as well. If I lived in a place like Minnesota or Maine, I would lean to darker colors. But living in the blistering heat somewhere south of Atlanta, white and silver are my only practical options. Recent weather extremes (where I live, we now get somewhwere near a humid 100 degrees most summer days), white is now the best-selling color, and leads by a wider margin each year.
Lastly, age could be a factor. Younger folks probably lean to black. Black is one 'bada$$' color. Older folks lean more to more practical white and silver (and beige, should that have been an option on the Maxima).
So where one sells his Maxima may influence which color might sell best.

Those are actually the two nicest colors (besides Rad SIlver of course
)
I almost got Mystic Jade, but my dad wanted a silver car and wanted navigation, so I got silver. Plus Silver was my original choice anyways. Anytime I see a mystic jade maxima I always look for a while. The way it changes colors in different lighting is sick.

I've had white, grey, black, maroon & champagne colored cars.. they are all a b1tch to keep them clean if you want it to stay sharp. White/black yes require a bit more time, but they look better. I just bought a black 2011 & love it. I was leaning towards the crimson black, but didn't like the plum color it had during the day.
The problem with questions like this is that they are so highly subjective.
Silver is probably the best color because it shows off the curves of this car better, when you add cosmetic mods to it they show up better and it doesn't ever look dirty like Black or White does.
Black and White are cool colors but the total truth of the matter is that no matter which color you buy this car in=it's still a damn hot looking ride and sexy as hell.

Completely Agree! I have the dark Slate color and with the chrome trim and black windows it is the hottest Maxima I have seen

Depends on where you live. I like some of the dark colors, but learned over sixty years ago that a dark colored car get much hotter inside when parked in the miserable sun of the deep south. Bakes (and damages) the top of the dash and the rear parcel shelf, requires more frequent treatment of the leather upholstery, leaves the leather seating surfaces hot enough to burn your fanny, the steering wheel too hot to touch, and the seat buckle resembling a branding iron.
My last black car was a '49 Studebaker, and my last dark colored car was a 'firegold' '55 Pontiac Star Chief. White and silver are the colors I almost always choose.
If I move to somewhere like Minnesota, I will consider dark colors again.

Money, I'll agree. I was back and forth between a G35 or the 7th-gen Maxima. I finally decided on the Max and ended up with a CPO Mystic Jade because it had the options I wanted. I'm loving the color more and more each day. In Dallas everyone has an Infiniti, MB, or BMW so I don't see many 7g Maximas around, let alone a Mystic Jade one.

I got black and doing Zaino polish this weekend. I did this on my previous dark car and it help from spotting up bad if it rains. Definately more work having a black car but IMO no other color comes close when it is clean.
Just be sure and always remember where you parked your car. Mystic jade looks like a completely different color from different angles and varying light conditions. I have seen this color look like light grey, dark grey, sage green and even pastel purple. I knew the first time I saw a mystic jade Maxima why Nissan used the word 'mystic'.
