New wheels! Non OEM TPMS Sensor setting...

I recently purchased a new set of wheels (don't ask for pics yet, you'll get em when I am done modding her) and I had the guy I bought the wheels from put in TPMS sensors (universal I am guessing)...I am keeping my stock wheels and tires fitted with the stock OEM TPMS sensors for winter...

I searched but couldn't find a definite answer. I really do not want to go to the dealer so they can bend me over for $100 for 5 minutes of hooking a diagnostic tool up.

So how do I go about teaching the car these new, non OEM, non Nissan sensors?

Oh damn, is this really all you need? I've got a set of stock 19's that came with sensors and I've just ignored the light since I installed them but if all you need is this tool to reset the light I'm definitely tryna get that.

Then if that's all you need you can make one for 5 cents.... A piece of wire put into where that thing clips and just touch that wire to ground 5 times in 10 seconds...

I read up on the official way to reset it and it does involve using a wire to ground something. Weird thing is every post on this forum about TPMS sounds like it's hard or expensive to do. This one thread says you need a $150 tool, other people get charged $62 at Nissan, others use a $400 bullydog. No consistent answer...

If you end up getting it, can you post back on if it works or not? I think a whole rack of people would like to have one if it really works.

Im not going to purchase that... I would try out the wire method first for free, if it doesnt work I will probably suck it up and or take the light out of the dash.
