A35 maxima owners more willing to add serious aftermarket upgrades
there seems to be a never ending supply of questions regarding wheels, suspension, tires, etc here on this forum.
glad a35 owners are willing to take the car to the next level.
when I had a 2011 sonata, the willingness to lower suspension, wheel upgrades were minimal. It was a mid econo grade sedan that attracted a lot of "average' joes.

as if it wasn't fast enough huh ? the a35 is bad azz!!
AAM still wants to get their hands on my car for a few weeks to see about some extra "oomph" in the engine bay. As much as I'd like to let them tinker around, the thought in the back of my head is always "I wonder how much power it's going to take before the rubber band trans snaps?" And with that, F/I is never gonna happen on my car...

From a roll, yes, it's quite fast. From a dig, it's a pig (thanks CVT). Since most bolt-ons don't really offer much in the way of actual hp gains, I'm going old school (i.e. weight reduction). Forged wheels, Borla exhaust (which weighs at least 20lbs less than the stock system) and trying to find some two-piece rotors with aluminum hats. If I can shave roughly 100lbs off the curb weight and reduce the rotating unsprung weight, it's like gaining 10+hp. Or at least, that's the theory!

It seems some people don't know the point of a FORUM.
I agree with OP. After-market companies were initially reluctant to make products for the 7th gen because of the audience the 7th gen was aimed at (Middle aged men) and because of the economic downturn at the time this car came out. Now look at the endless threads regarding exhausts and wheels. Coupled with the successful sales of this beast, I think the 7th gen has come a very long way.
